Are we going to soft-split (or hard-split, for that matter) the Trevor Noah incarnation? It makes sense not to split off the Kilborn years because a) he only hosted for a couple of years and b) there are practically no examples relating to him anyway (and as far as I can tell, scant footage even exists from those years), but for seventeen years, Jon Stewart \'\'\'was\'\'\' \'\'The Daily Show\'\'. \'\'He\'\' made it one of the most well-respected news sources on television, and it only seems fair to sort the examples by era, so those looking for Stewart-specific tropes can find them, and those looking for Noah-specific examples can find them. Especially after hearing that Noah intends to do \'\'his\'\' show and not Jon\'s show (as well he should, but I think it\'s quite clear that Noah\'s \'\'Daily Show\'\' is not going to be interchangeable with Jon\'s \'\'Daily Show\'\').

(Disclaimer: I don\\\'t hate Trevor Noah. Far from it; I think he\\\'s a very likable, funny young man and if Jon Stewart wants me to give the guy a chance, I\\\'m damn well gonna. But I do have more than a bit of MyRealDaddy going on, and I\\\'m definitely not alone. \\\'\\\'Nobody\\\'\\\' can really fill Jon Stewart\\\'s shoes, no matter how well they carry on his legacy.)
