Could CommutingOnABus possibly be applied to the Hulk/Bruce Banner in the MCU? It seems to fit, though the trope page doesn\'t even seem to have a film examples section. Hulk was initially one of the main 4 Avengers in the MCU, with his own movie alongside Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America. Now each of them is at or on their way to their third movie while Hulk just shows up for the main Avengers films.
