AngstDissonance - some may think growing up with a parent who [[SpankTheCutie believed in corporal punishment]] isn\\\'t reason enough for your character to be a FragileFlower, whereas others might argue that a character is \\\'\\\'too\\\'\\\' [[AngstWhatAngst well-adjusted]] for a [[RapeAsBackstory victim of sexual abuse]]. If you leave them in the dark, they can fill in the blanks themselves and look at the TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior your character engages in and think \\\"Oh my God, what kind of screwed-up life did \\\'\\\'that\\\'\\\' kid have?\\\" Meanwhile you can sit back, relax and watch the EpilepticTrees grow.
