Can sometimes be a feature of softer sci-fi, especially if the characters are doing this in very populated space, but can also be {{Justified}} by a proper appreciation of how big space is.

limits the ships to specific routes in space, especially if there is some sort of beacon or transmitter or other physical thing that facilitates FTL travel. Railroad drives are usually different from a NoWarpingZone in that the FTL \\\"tracks\\\" are laid out specifically to facilitate FTL speeds, not to avoid places where it\\\'s impossible, though some of the examples listed on the page that I haven\\\'t personally read/watched seem to overlap the two.
