Characters don\'t have to fear the HeroKiller. Look at Aizen, who most people just hate, but recognize that he\'s powerful enough to slaughter everyone single-handed. [[FullmetalAlchemist Wrath]] is another example, where certain characters don\'t exactly fear him so much as they know he\'s too much for them, so they decide to turn away as soon as they know he\'s near.

Characters don\\\'t have to know the HeroKiller in advance in order to fear him. Look at the 13th Division, including Shino and Yuki, who had a MassOhCrap once they saw Juhabach, because they knew damn-well he was gonna kill them. Sure, they\\\'re rookies, but that still counts, because HeroKiller never specifies who \\\'\\\'has\\\'\\\' to be afraid of someone like Juhabach. Also never specifies if the characters have to know the villain in advance - only that they know he can and will butcher them.

If you won\'t take that as a good enough answer, then we\'ll go through the characters who have felt fear towards Juhabach. It\'s not Ichigo, because I don\'t think he was able to see Juhabach kill Yamamoto. He may have heard all those voices, but it was never revealed if he could \'see\' things occur. On the other hand, I distinctly remember the 13th Division, including Shino and Yuki, exhibiting fear once they saw Juhabach, because they knew damn-well he was gonna kill them. Sure, they\'re rookies, but that still counts, because HeroKiller never specifies who \'\'has\'\' to be afraid of someone like Juhabach.

You\'re describing HeroKiller like TheDreaded. The fear factor definitely entrenches their credentials as a Badass who strips away PlotArmor, but the HeroKiller \'\'has\'\' to at least defeat his opponents in order to truly qualify. Flat-out murder is also an important factor into it.

Like Aizen, who effortlessly dispatches nearly everyone.
