Yes, Gau\'s movepool is very limited once he actually uses a Rage, then you either get a normal attack or a special attack you might not want anymore. Oh no, the party is dead and Gau is stuck in Rage, you\'re dead. It\'s not like you can just cancel Rage and use a different one, if you could Gau would be useful beyond Zozo. I like Mog and like his Dances, but his niche in the later game is only to be a dragoon, which Edgar does just as well and gets Tools to boot, the random nature of Mog\'s Dances is too unreliable.

As for character tiers, lol, what a joke. Not clicking that FAQ, I know the game perfectly well. Once you acquire Ragnarok and Phoenix and get Ultima, Curaga and Reraise, every other Esper is only good for stat boosts because those are the only three spells you need to steamroll the game.
