The Non-pony characters on the other hand really are on the same level as the background and one-shot characters. If anything their gags are pretty much the same as the Flintstones gag of the animal/appliances delivering the \\\"It\\\'s a Living\\\" line.

Also, I also want to avoid someone deciding to place characters like Spike or Zecora on the page (I\\\'ve had arguments over whether Spike belongs in the Animal Companions page or not, despite the fact that he is a main character).

All in all, if it were up to me, the character listings should solely be about how important to the narrative they are. Obvious cast herds like the Princesses, CMC and pets should remain as they are.
