The Non-pony characters on the other hand really are on the same level as the background and one-shot characters. If anything their gags are pretty much the same as the Flintstones gag of the animal/appliances delivering the \\\"It\\\'s a Living\\\" line.

Also, I also want to avoid someone deciding to place characters like Spike or Zecora on the page (I\\\'ve had arguments over whether Spike belongs in the Animal Companions page or not, despite the fact that he is a main character).

All in all, if it were up to me, the character listings should solely be about how important to the narrative they are. Obvious cast herds like the Princesses, CMC and pets should remain as they are.

Here\\\'s how I\\\'d list them:

[[AC: Main Characters]]
* \\\'\\\'\\\'Mane Characters\\\'\\\'\\\': The Mane 6 + Spike (No change)
* \\\'\\\'\\\'The Cutie Mark Crusaders\\\'\\\'\\\': Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo (No change)

[[AC: Supporting Characters]]
* \\\'\\\'\\\'The Princesses\\\'\\\'\\\': Celestia, Luna and Cadance (No change)
* \\\'\\\'\\\'Supporting Cast\\\'\\\'\\\': reoccurring characters who play important roles in at least 2 episodes (Combines minor characters and some Celebronies).
* \\\'\\\'\\\'Mane Character\\\'s Family\\\'\\\'\\\' (No change)
* \\\'\\\'\\\'Antagonists\\\'\\\'\\\' (No change)
* \\\'\\\'\\\'Animal Companions\\\'\\\'\\\': The main character\\\'s pets (the other animals such as Fluttershy\\\'s animal friends and the pigs on Sweet Apple Acres go to the \\\"Non-ponies\\\" section in Background Characters)

[[AC: Minor Characters]]
* \\\'\\\'\\\'One Shot characters\\\'\\\'\\\': Characters that only appear in one episode but play an important role in at least one scene (This includes One Shot characters, some Celebronies and a few \\\"Special Ponies\\\" in the background page.)
* \\\'\\\'\\\'Background Characters\\\'\\\'\\\': These characters (Both Ponies and Non-Ponies) do not play an important role. They\\\'re either crowd fillers or used as a one time joke (usually a non-speaking role).

[[AC: Non-Show Characters]]
* \\\'\\\'\\\'Canon Foreigners\\\'\\\'\\\': Characters that only appear in out-of-show media (regardless of how important to the plot they are)
* \\\'\\\'\\\'Toy Exclusive Characters\\\'\\\'\\\': Characters that only appear in the toyline.

EDIT: kept the Mane Family Members page.

2. Lumping all the younger cast members onto one page is a terrible idea. It\'s like lumping the mane characters in with characters like Cheerilee, Lyra and Derpy because they\'re all mares in the same general age group. It\'s been made quite obvious that the CMC are main characters (actually delivering Aesops of the episode for example). A page based on character\'s ages is just as arbitrary as one based on celebrity status.

The only real change I would like to see is the characters from the Celebronies page be moved to the One shots page
