Okay, so my justifying edit on the subject was probably rightfully deleted, but is it possible to do something about all the \\\"Author X has written Y genre as well as science fiction, yet all his/her works are located in the Y section\\\" style entries? That doesn\\\'t seem like the ghetto to me, that\\\'s standard bookstore operating procedure for people who don\\\'t want to trail all over the store to find different books in different sections by the same author. It happens whether the author\\\'s written science fiction, mysteries, horror, romance or literary works, so to keep singling it out here as an example of the ghetto seems like a bit of a persecution complex.

Irene is from her very first appearance a cardborad cutout of the oldest prejudice available of women, which are sexy sexy sex, lovet dovey love and the tendecy for women to succumb to their feelings. On top pf that every single shot of is made to play up vulnerability or sex, and there is not a single inclination of what makes her tick, even tye scene where Sherlock scans her tye viewer gets hit over the head with how there is no clues of what might be going on in her head or what her story is. She\'s not meant to me emoathised with or connected with on a human level. But even that is beside the point, because it\'s really about the whole episode and the whole series, where all the female characters of importance get humiliated at least once by the supposed hero of the story and some on a regular basis. They also only fall squarely into two roles, either as obsticle (the one who calls Sherlock a freak, Irene herself, general Shang) or as servant (a bleeding landlady somehow becomming the maid of her tenants, an employer who has her employee sleep through his first day due to a night out and not only lets him off without a warning, but does his work for him, accepts a date with him the same night and then another one even after the first one has her insulted and almost killed). And only the latter category can be counted as good women, unless they\'re obstacles on Moriarty\'s orders, because then they\'re rendered unimportant or duped.

Now wether or not you want to interpret this as a personal hatred that\'s one thing, but I do wonder how anyone - stripping away the political aspect, let\'s say we\'re talking about blondes - could watch a series where a group pf people are consistently and always defeated, humiliated and reduced to servants without getting a less than froendl vibe from it all.
