The \\\'\\\'name\\\'\\\' All Hallows\\\' Eve may not be related to Samhain, but the \\\'\\\'festivities\\\'\\\', which the article aknowledges began as \\\"a celebration of Irish and Scottish heritage\\\", almost certainly are.

Charlemagne may have set the date of All Saints\\\' Day as 1 November, and the Irish may have ignored this and kept celebrating it in May, but as far as I know, the Franks never went guising, or put out turnip lanterns to scare bogles away. That was the Irish and Scots, and they did it at Samhain.
