\'\'Gnosticism. Weird one, I know, but it is hugely overrated among certain JRPGs and their Everyone Is Sophia In Pleroma mindset (Yes, Xenosaga, I\'m looking at you), and anime fans who, as a result, seem to think the only way a religious reference in an anime is acceptable is if it can be shoehorned into Gnosticism instead. It\'s like Christianity for people who think they\'re too cool for Christianity. Personally, any philosophical system that says logic is rubbish and true knowledge comes from having visions of a higher reality comes across to me as an excuse to make crap up. Yeah, you can say the same thing about any religion, but Gnosticism is worse: it\'s convoluted and non-intuitive to the point that you\'ve really gotta ask What Do You Mean It Wasnt Made On Drugs. How the same fan base that laughs about Xenu and Thetans can turn around and wax ecstatic about aeons and the Monad is beyond me. The only difference between Scientology and Gnosticism is that L. Ron Hubbard was born a whole lot later. \'\'

Should I remove this? It sounds very whiny and more like a rant about how Gnosticism sucks than a statement about how it\'s overrated, though I\'m not sure at the moment.
