Is this really generally thought of as Better Than It Sounds? I mean, I think it has pleasant-enough-but-pretty-flat characters (except for Katie, mostly, and sometimes George and Joshua too) not nearly enough interaction or storylines between the family the show is supposed to be about, weak episodic storytelling, treacly and cliche emotional beats, and lapses in logic so frequent I want to ask the writers if it takes them longer to write an episode or watch it. Obviously it\'s going to have some fans, but it\'s surprising to me that supposedly, this is considered by people to be so much better than the premise would have you believe.
