I just came to think of what we should be about the arguably HollywoodPsych hate-speech entries (no, not from the contributors, from the people who created the characters), such as the recent CSI one, that are stated as autistic within the show (although one could of course argue that they are misdiagnosed), but extremely diverging from any experience those of us who do have autism have, either from ourselves, any other autistic we have met, or anything that we have read.

I mean, a \'\'rapist\'\'... seriously?! I\'d think that this might be the \'\'least\'\' likely criminal area for an autistic to end up within. We tend to be so sexually shy, reserved, awkward, and dependent on prolonged familiarity, that the woman would almost literally have to \'\'rape us\'\' to get anywhere... \'\'without exaggeration involved\'\'. A rapist? Wow. Talk about DidNotDoTheResearch. Apparently various autism advocacy groups also found the episode intensely bigoted, and complained to the network.

Oh well, any thoughts about how to avoid turning this page into yet another misportrayal zone? I\'ve tried to insert little comments on the ones that I\'m somewhat familiar with, but they don\'t always turn out well, and I tend to benefit from having aother perspective to juggle against if I get off base, so help from other autistic to clean up bad wordings or mistakes is appreciated.

Deleted as possibly inappropriate by the writer.

Sort of. Most people would probably just go Sandbox/DoctorWho, I think.
