The short version I guess is that it sounds like you genuinely like things that I hated so much I never want to see them in any version of \'\'D&D\'\' ever again, that your games have a much more mathhammer, \"Fights are two people running at each other and standing perfectly still trading dice rolls until someone\'s dead\" approach to combat than my own do, and we will probably never agree about the extent to which, as you yourself admit, these are class problems that would similarly affect a similarly built fighter.
