Do counterparts from parallel universe really count? The point of the trope is that these characters just \'\'happen\'\' to resemble our main cast. Of course the Earth-2 version of Superman will resemble the Earth-1 version, they\'re the \'\'same\'\' person (with minor tweaks)!
