Kermit even [[LampshadeHanging hung a lampshade on it]] by saying he could be himself when he was offstage. Peter said he didn\'t have a himself any more, he had it surgically removed. The lampshade is there in the first place because, when initially asked to do the short backstage segment -- a recurring bit that gave each guest star the chance to show off as themselves, free of schtick -- Sellers [[WordOfGod reportedly]] panicked and insisted that he \'\'couldn\'t\'\' be himself.
