Before I get into the more negative nitty gritty, I would be remiss if I didn\'t pay respects to your fair and somewhat rational response. That being said...there\'s a lot of negative aspects to cover.

The fact it \
to:
%%The fact it \\\"stigmatizes\\\" other people with Aspergers Syndrome is part of the problem. The more it bothers you that normal people call themselves normal and those with Aspergers Syndrome abnormal, shows me to be right to be ashamed of being associated with the term. It only portrays people with Aspergers as weaklings and those who can\\\'t handle the truth. The truth is that we have a social defect. We\\\'re not as \\\"in tune\\\" with social cues than society accepts. The best way to not be defined by the mold is to take everything in stride. I mean, its to the point where our own neurology determines our life spans to be less in life expectancy ffs. If that\\\'s not a clear indicator of inferiority, than nothing is. I\\\'ve fought for far too long to break the mold, that it annoys me that my \\\"peers\\\" constantly drag me back down into it. Until we can accept the fact of our brains and body being inferior (lower life expectancy, worse hand eye coordination, lack of certain social and emotional cues) until we can take the fact that people will make jokes at our expense (autism jokes are justified imo) which is what \\\"normal people\\\" would do, I.E. take a jab at our integrity. That\\\'s the whole point of comedy. People taking shots at each other in an environment where people don\\\'t take each other too seriously. I\\\'m a guy who plans to run for political office soon and the fact I\\\'m associated with this diagnosis, means I now have a much higher hurdle to climb and unnecessarily so. Autism as a \\\"term of abuse\\\" (even though I doubt you can understand what qualifies as abuse if you think autism is a term of abuse rather than a jab or insult) because its the truth for the reasons I mentioned above. I don\\\'t consider myself on the autism spectrum, regardless of what medical documents may say, because doing so would invalidate the journey to break the mold. See, I have long refused to break my self-respect. A shame, because I expect a certain amount of self-respect from people diagnosed with the same disorder as me. Ironic really that I have more respect for you, than you do yourself. Accepting that \\\"autism is part of who you are\\\" should boil your blood. You are yourself and yourself ONLY. You are whoever your name is, not an autist. That\\\'s the truth about normal people. They have self-respect.
