There were already examples underneath it written by other tropers. This was merely to clarify the issue caused by the disconnect in the plot from the previous film as a result of the disparity between in-universe and real life time. The Rey example (which you have left in place) is a demonstration. While it might be reasonable that Rey could get the idea of trying to redeem Kylo Ren after the passage of months or years, perhaps after a long series of conversations through the Force, she instead latches onto the idea mere DAYS after watching Kylo murder his own father firsthand, seeing him cut down Finn (and she did not yet know if Finn had recovered) to say nothing of the fact that in his mind she saw that his biggest fear was not living up to Darth Vader! As VERY recent experiences, they should color her opinion of him. But inexplicably they do not. If there had been a TimeSkip, that would have negated much of the IdiotPlot.
