Shield Hero is NOT a \\\"feminist fantasy\\\". This is cherry-picking elements of the plot. The main character is not a woman, and the main female characters are not the \\\"center of their own story\\\". They are literally the property of the main character, whether happy in that position or not. All four of the main heroes the story centers around are all male as well. Also, a FalseRapeAccusation subplot is NotADeconstruction of feminist fantasy--a deconstruction examines RealLife consequences of a trope that people may not have thought of. False rape accusations in general are a [[RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgment contentious subject]] and one of \\\'\\\'the main stereotype\\\'\\\' posited by opponents of feminists. Saying that it deconstructs a feminist fantasy is like saying that YellowPeril deconstructs anime.

Personally, I think Volume 4 was good, simply not meant to be on Volume 3 level, but Volume 5 ... I don\'t agree with all the criticism (I found Blake\'s arc good, for istance), especially because it degenerated into a \"everything about volume 5 sucks\", but for the major part I stand with the side that thinks it\'s bad... I hope it becomes just a case of DorkAge (which by the way, SeasonalRot can become this trope if successive volumes gets better)
