>considerable support from an online harassment campaign that favors \\\"style over substance\\\" 90s comics and aggressively oppose diverse writers and characters (along with political themes) in the comics of today

Well, if it\\\'s meant to refer to #ComicsGate, then it\\\'s wrong on several counts:

- It\\\'s not a harassment campaign. Never seen any well-known #ComicsGater call upon their followers to harass anyone - unlike their opponents, who do employ such tactics.

- On opposing diverse writers - it opposes minorities being given special treatment based on their ethnicity/sexuality/what have you as opposed to being good at their work. Minority writers with actual talent get actual praise from #ComicsGate ideologues such as Richard C. Meyer.

- It opposes *forced* diversity for diversity\\\'s sake and creating AffirmativeActionLegacy when nobody asked for it with a clear intention of riding the coattails of an established character. Nobody has any problem with original minority characters (provided they are well-written).

- It\\\'s not the political themes that are the issue, it\\\'s that they are always one-sided with heavy swing towards the left side of the political spectrum with the right-wingers being near-universally depicted as bigots, racists, idiots and CompleteMonster s.
Then again, there\\\'s nothing wrong with being completely apolitical so everyone can enjoy the ride.
