\"Lack of\" or something similar actually says what the fandom/devs responded to (without sounding particularly personal), isn\'t a particularly contentious statement (they literally had half as many options as everyone else), and adds all of two words.

If they legitimately don\'t get why people were upset that gay men, again, got half as many options as everyone else and both options were side characters, they probably don\'t want to understand in the first place. The people who asked what was wrong were not asking to be enlightened, they wanted to paint the LGBT fanbase as whiny.
