My take is that if something was removed and they have a solid reasons for it, I just leave that be. Like your edits. I'm not perfect. And I admit that sometimes that I tend to use the wrong choice of words. I should have used 'insistent', not 'indignant'.

The reason why I went out of hands was because of some tropes have been liberally misused to express a dislike to someone, even if it isn't TheScrappy or HateSink. {{Jerkass}} is one particularly glaring example. I'm not going to defend that my edits about Jack Morrison being an idealist was right, but still, WideEyedIdealist didn't seem to carry such negative connotations compared to {{Jerkass}}, that was to say that Jack used to be very idealistic and then it brought out his downfall: Recipes of tragedy that we can all appreciate and enrich the story or made Jack a flawed character and then having an engaging development.

(Also I think I\'m not the only one who was on board on those kind of edits with Jack. IIRC, there are others who did that too.)

{{Jerkass}} on the other hand? It may carry the connotations as the editor hated the character so much because of their abrasive personality not [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold tempered with golden heart]] so they 'shame' them by slapping them with tropes that makes people think they're unlikable. This might create signs of this site creating BlackAndWhiteMorality (or [[BlackAndWhiteInsanity Insanity]]), and I don't think it's healthy.

This is not the only trope that can be misused as such. {{Hypocrite}}, DracoInLeatherPants or KarmaHoudini can be used as such. And in Hanzo's case, there was no signs to deem him as such in the past life, it just sounded like he didn't do as what the editor think is a 'good deed', and thus must be shamed, even if they're grasping at straws.

But basically, all I ask is that there are certain tropes that can be misused to shove one's opinion and moral values to others, don't misuse them, it better not get out of hand, before we get another trope like CompleteMonster.
