openCan't remember name of TV show Film
I find this show on Netflix. It was about telling different mysterious stories about children who got tricked. The show always started off with a little girl’s voice explaining how when you here a whistle then you know something bad will happen (or something like that). And the image was of a person’s body who was wearing a hoody and you never saw their face. I remember the person was walking in a field. One of the episodes was about a kid who had to steal from people who came to watch his parents puppet show. The kid didn’t like his parents, so a girl tricked him and his parents were turned into puppets. At the end of that episode, a girl who had the same thing happen to her apologize to the kid for tricking him and told him how to get his parents back (by tricking another kid).
openPre-70s (Probably) SF Novel Literature
...possibly by one of the classic Golden Age authors.
The basic setting is significantly in the future, set on a post-apocalyptic (class 2) Earth; the apocalypse was caused pre-story by attempted weather control IIRC.
The main character is a member of a pseudo-monastic order who use scrying powers to monitor local space for incoming hostile traffic, and as of the start of the story part of a diverse travelling band heading somewhere for some reason (which may or may not be relevant to the main plot - I forget).
Early in the story the main character detects an incoming invasion force, sounds the planetary alarm, and things develop from there.
Any thoughts/suggestions on what this might have been would be very welcome!
open[Solved] Monster Mansion Cartoon Western Animation
So, this is a cartoon I watched many years ago, I wanna say it was about 2000 to 2005, and I think it was a Disney show, but I'm not entirely sure about both.
The plot was that there were these children who, for some reason, lived in a haunted mansion, along with a creepy adult who was probably a monster. There were other monsters living there besides them, including a disembodied hand, if I remember correctly. The art style was a bit crude, and I honestly can't remember if the show was any good. The mansion also might have been some sort of school (for wizardry or whatever) for the children, with the adult characters being their teachers.
I remember two episodes from this show (at least right now): One, which was probably the first episode, or at least one of the first ones, had the adult character ask the male primary main character to give up what was most important to him in the world (as part of some sort of test), which turned out to be the love for one of the female characters. (However, she still was a love interest for him in following episodes.)
Another episode had one of the female children (I think it was the love interest from the primary MC) notice that one of the pictures in a side corridor was hanging askew, and fixing it, upon which the picture started talking to her and gave her three wishes. At first (maybe to test this ability) she wished for a vase she knocked down earlier to be fixed.I think her second wish was to be in charge of the mansion, and at some point toward the end of the episode, the mansion was flooded for some reason, so she wished for everything to go back to normal. The epiosde ended with the adult character noticing that the picture was hanging properly, and positioning it back to its former state.
If I think more about it (once I've sobered up), I might remember some more details, but for now, this is all I have. If you remember anything about this show, I would be very grateful!
Edited by CodricopenOld English Comedy Film
I am looking for an old English TV show comedy. I think it was set around a village in Medieval times. There was a gimmick each show I think where there was someone who sat at the entrance to the village and a visitor would always ask him his name and receive a humorous response. One joke I remember was when he was asked his name (I can't remember his actual name but i'll call him John for now), and this person replied John the Evasive. When the visitor asked him why they called him that he replied "Who wants to know?". I am sorry that I can't remember any more except that it would have been showing in the 80's, maybe mid to late.
openGreenola
There was a PBS short set in a city called "Greenola". EVERYTHING WAS GREEN, the food, the fashions, the hair...
So a child asks "Why is everything green?" -cue a RIOT being sparked as the city is turned upside down -
The joke is that the city changes the color to blue. Rechristen "Bluenola", everything is fine until a stranger asks "Why is everything so Blue?"
W Hat was the name of that short cartoon? It was AWESOME!
openCartoon Network Live Action Show about... An Explorer Kid? Live Action TV
Ok, this one is going to be very confusing. What I remember about the show: It was on Cartoon Network's weird time of airing Live-Action Shows. It involved a kid who used to travel around the world, and was now set to go to some random normal school. One of the trailers had a girl tell the character how she liked to talk "F 2 F." (Face to Face, get it? Like all the young kids NEVER said.) Which I always considered being EXTREMELY cringy, even as a teen. The kid was like, inspired at times to use tricks he learned during his adventures to try and solve problems.
openBlonde women prophet tv show
A married inner colic blonde women is starting taking massages from God. She is stopping drinking booze and starting doing good things. Please I want to watch this tv series. Anyone know the name or year?
open"Give the people what they want" followed by a character dying
Don't remember what medium. All I remember is an important character being told to "give the people what they want", in relation to pleasing some sort of audience (I don't remember if someone said it to them, or if they said it to themselves, or maybe they were prompted to do it - think commands in text adventures or Problem Sleuth esque comics) and the character promptly attempts to either commit suicide or kill someone else. Don't remember if the attempt succeeded. The character may have been standing on a stage of some sort while doing this. Supposedly this was a memorable part of the work.
Edited by iwantedtoaddsomethingopenEarly/late 2000s kids TV Film

openKid Pancake Gift Solved Live Action TV
Does anyone have a link to an old commercial from the 1990s or early 2000s where two kids wake up their parents and give them pancakes. The parents are moved and the kids are happy. As dad eats one, his wife leans over and says softly, "We don't have the ingredients to make pancakes."
Edited by isoycrazyopenWeird manga Print Comic
Okay, there was this manga book I saw in a store the other day. It was one of the new releases. It was named something like "Yusaku Kanari Girls Gallery" or something like that. That's not the actual name in the title, but the point is that it was [Manga creator name]'s Girl [Noun] And the seller told me it was pretty risqué—"the closest thing to hentai manga that we sell," he said.
openWhat movie is this scene from? Film
So I remember watching a movie back in 2004 or 2005. Here's what I remember.
There was an African American man who had a long string-like neck. His neck looked like it might of been animated, and it was wiggling in a cartoonish manner. There was also a "boing boing" sound effect while it was doing this. Also, the guy was just smiling. After that, it showed another man watching, who looked freaked out. Then, the other man walked away. The next scene showed him talking to this woman who I think was lying in bed. He might of been telling her what he saw.I think I remember him saying something like "It's for real."
That's all I remember. Just to be clear, everyone in this scene was African American. Also, it was not a cartoon. It was live-action. It looked like a wacky comedy, similar to The Nutty Professor. I am not completely sure it was a movie. So, if anybody recognizes it, please let me know.
Edited by Lane25openEarly CGI Animated Videos Western Animation
There were these VHS tapes I used to get from the kids section at the public library in the late 90s-early 2000s. They were animated using early CG animation. They were almost like CG demos designed for kids or something. They were divided into different shorts that showcased different animations. I don't remember there being much of a plot beyond what happened in these shorts. There was one with a blond boy with tan skin who had a blue shirt with red or pink polka dots. There was another with a ufo or spaceship that morphed into different shapes. There may have been another with a ball rolling around on a stone pyramid-like surface. I remember there being a theme song to at the beginning that would show clips from the shorts but not all of them would be on each tape. There were multiple tapes I would get of this series. There was never any dialogue in them; only weird music in the background. I know this isn't a ton of helpful information, but if anyone remembers something like this at all, you would put my mind at ease!
openAnimated halloween film and a game, obscure
edit 18.7.: Found the halloween movie! "It's called "SCRUFF: In Halloween". Moved the details into the replies here not to clutter the main page. Still no idea about the game.
edit: Game found, too! It's Bud Redhead: The Time Chase
Edited by Vicky125openJapanese horror Animation Anime
So, I watched this anime (?) a long time ago. It had some different horror stories (I rented the DVD at the time) One of the stories was about some girls and they had stolen pencils (?) from a store and they were kidnapped and became mannequins in the end. You could still hear the girls crying. The local where this character (i don't even remember who this person was) hid the victims was underground (i don't know if it was a sewage or a subway). The other story was about a girl who didn't like her brother and he was sick that day. He had fever. And she was so angry that she locked herself in some room while a cloth was left on the stove. A fire broke out. And she died. Her brother was sent to the hospital. She came back as a ghost and she had a huge eye floating beside her with a chain on her ankle and she wanted to kill her brother...
Please someone help me <3
openThere currently exists a local TV station used in an old YouTube video Live Action TV

openTrying to find a game (Unsolved) Videogame
There was a human villain named after the Egyptian snake god Apophis or something like it, that doomed a entire race to hell since they didn't read the fine print of his 'demon' contract. I'm not sure if it's a Tabletop game or what, but I do remember the the last sentence of the description was something like "[...] his tongue unfurled revealing the contract, flies flying out of his mouth. 'Read the fine print.' He said."
Children's factual show, possibly weekends. Early 2000's. Had an episode about a cruise ship and one where they visited the Florida Everglades. Could have been Channel 4 or 5.
