openI'm really out of ideas. Film
Does anybody that 3-5 minute per episode 3D animated series that used to spring up around 6PM all week on ABC 3? It was some strangely bulbous dog astronaut stranded on an alien planet trying to fix his ship, and he keeps getting trolled by/into getting dat on by this one big alien bear guy. All my searches consistently turn up Courage the Cowardly Dog and Monsters vs. Aliens xD it was more like Figillo Po or whatever, that guy who has nightmares daily? Real twisted train of thought, I know.
openMaybe HIMYM? Live Action TV
I only remember some episode's plot. A man meets a woman from "little britain"(?) and he falls in love with her. However he has some difficulties to date the girl because of her father. At the end, he can finally be her boyfriend, but he discoveries she is mentally challenged. I think the guy even thinks the father is a spy and I believe it's a sitcom and is from arround 2010's. [sorry for my English]
openCHILDRENS CLAYMATION SHOW Film
I remember vaguely watching this VCR a bunch as a kid. I think it was a promotion for some new play doh toy maybe? It might've been a short film or a a tape with a couple episodes I don't remember it being very long. All the creatures were monster like, made from what looked like play doh and their would grow and shrink (since that's what the play doh toy would do)
openSinging Female Park Ranger Western Animation
Around 2010, I saw this kids show playing on a TV. There was a heavy-set female park ranger with a green uniform, brown curly hair and bright red lipstick. She had a deep voice and was singing "The Ants Go Marching". The animation was 2D and in retrospect, she looked like a brunette version of Ranger Tabes from We Bare Bears. I'm pretty sure it might be some non-muppet short segment that appeared on Sesame Street but I'm not 100% on it.
Anyone?
Edited by CanzetTheCoyoteopenChildhood TV show about ghosts Western Animation
I've been looking for the title of this TV show for quite some time now... Please help me! So, here's what I remember: - The main character is a boy ghost. The shape of his head is similar to that of Stewie Griffin from Family Guy, but colored pale white. He has no hair and a black 'body'. - He has a mother, also a ghost. Her head is white and she has white hair. Her 'body' is also black. - The series were drawn very 'messy' and I also remember some colored monsters featuring in it. That's all I have... I'm almost convinced it is not The Addam's Family or Casoer the Gost, or I must have missed something in my research. Please help!
openLive Action/Animated Bible Series for Kids Live Action TV
Okay this is a pretty obscure one but I remember a ton of details and have tried Google searching every variation of this I could possibly think of.
So, the episode or movie starts with a boy and girl in live action and they're throwing a baseball. The baseball goes under their neighbor's fence and when they go under the fence to find it they are in a cellar or basement or something. They find a scroll and it's the book of Genesis so they start reading it and it becomes a cartoon. They tell the story of Adam and Even and it features a tiny talking lamb character. They then go back home and say they're going to return tomorrow to read some more.
This is all I remember and I have literally been trying to find this title for two whole years. If anyone knows it or can help me find it I'll be forever eternally in your debt. My mom and I can't stand not remembering.
openForeign Short Film Film
I saw a short film on the short film channel one night when I was incapacitated and I remember thinking how funny it was, but I haven't been able to find it since!
I'm a bit fuzzy on the details but I remember it taking place in medieval times. MC was a guy who had an awful life. I think he was responsible for the death of a kid's father, but I'm not too sure on that part. The part I remember most vividly was where the man had to go on a journey to buy some wood and he had to bring the kid with him. It was a trip that lasted several days and the kid had a lute and he played it nonstop the entire trip, driving the man nuts, in montage form.
It wasn't in English, but I believe it was some European language.
Thanks in advance, sorry it's such a tough description!
open2000s cartoon about 4 (or 5) travelling mechanics??? Western Animation
I remember watching this cartoon about 4 or 5 teens travelling around and the show focused on some supernatural artefacts and the show's technology...or something. It aired around the same time as Oban Star Racers, Get Ed and Code Lyoko. I can't really remember well the premise of the show but I remember how 2 of the main characters look like. There's this young lady with white hair, tan-ish skin, blue eyes and blue outfit. She kinda looks like a Water Tribe person from Avatar, and if I remember correctly she had some spiritual connection with either the artefacts or machineries...that, or she had some ice manipulating powers. Then there's this other girl. She's the younger sister of one of the main characters and the youngest out of all the main characters. She had orange hair that's tied into like, four stubby ponytails on her head. What I remember most about her is that she's a cripple, but her brother made her these boots that helped her to walk. There's this one moment in an episode where her boots stopped working or something and they had to get it fixed. If anyone knows what show I'm talking about, please reply. For some reason, this has been bothering me for a while.
openMissy Elliott sample song? Music
A song that samples part of Missy Elliott's "Work It". The part in the question is when she says "This the kind of beat that goes ra-ta-ta, ra-ta-ta-ta, ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta."
The song I am thinking of slows down the beat a little bit, and that "ra-ta-ta-ta" sample is part of the chorus. It plays in the beginning, and I think the rapper's line opens with "Ay yo". I want to say it's Lil Wayne or Will I Am or someone else with a sort of harsh voice. I have tried to find this song but I can't!
openLooking for an episode of a TV show
A long time ago, I saw a brief glimpse of a TV show episode, and I was unable to find what it was. I only remember one small part and have been unable to find it based on that part. I was hoping someone here may know what it is. The scene I saw was a woman's daughter, I believe the woman was a cop or detective. She made her daughter go home because she was around the wrong crowd I believe. While the daughter is in her room a boy shows up he was a goth kid and he may or may not have believed himself to be a vampire, I'm still fuzzy on that one. He kidnapped her, and that was all I saw. It has still stuck in my mind years later and every few months or show I try to find it, but have had no luck. Does anyone have an idea as to what it was. Thank you in advance!
open!!! Live Action TV
I remember watching this show where they'd go to these homes because the people living there haven't paid land taxes or rent, they'd find the houses to be nasty and they'd have to find out the costs of damages people have and they'd set up cameras or something like that help me to figure out what this show is
openTwo movies I barely remember Film
The first movie is sort of "artsy", I guess. If I remember correctly, all the main characters were black, and the whole movie was subbed, not dubbed. Apart from that, I only remember two scenes. In one scene, the main character is telling his mother (I think) about a dream he had. Something in that dream was an omen of death. Then the mother immediately dies. Kinda funny, actually. In another scene, the main character meets an old man. The old man cuts out some of his own flesh (from his leg) and offers it to the main character, who eats it. Then he runs away, and the old man runs after him (because he wants his flesh back).
Anyway, the other movie was probably set in Japan. I think it was about two feuding clans, but I only remember two characters from it. One was a guy who couldn't die, but sort of wanted to die. The other one was a girl who was extremely poisonous, because she ate so much poisonous food or something like that. Anyway, they both die when they kiss each other.
I hope I don't sound like a madman.
openBook about cookies, a dog, and poop Literature
I remember three main things about a kids' book: —(1)— It was a story about some children, their father, a talking dog (the fastest dog in the world?) and some tiny creatures. The tiny creatures would punish mean parents/adults by putting dog poop where they would step on it, and that poop was usually in the shape of a footprint so the adults would think it was a shadow. The children learn their father is about to step on poop, so they ride on the talking dog to save him. —(2)— The father worked in a cookie factory. They would make different cookies every day of the week, and he had nightmares about one specific weekday because that's when they made the boring cookies (saltines?). He would dream about the cookies telling him boring things, kinda like "did you know a paperclip has three bends?" or "did you know February only has 29 days once every four years?" At the end of the book, he has an idea to change the cookies somehow (adding sugar?) to make them interesting, and his new dreams feature the new cookies telling him actually interesting trivia. —(3)— The chapters were short, and they all had fun titles. They started something like "Chapter one: the introduction" and would degrade to "Chapter thirteen and a half: how close was his foot?" or "Chapter thirty-one or thirty-two, I lost count: did you know...?" Some chapters were plot chapters, some were useless cookie trivia, and several were check-ins about how close the father was to stepping in the poop (like "if you took a cat's whisker and measured its thickness, that's how far away the shoe was from the poop"
PLEASE HELP my sisters don't believe this exists and it's driving me crazy.
Edited by blakellipsisopenB-52s-types sing educational songs Live Action TV
I can't remember if this show is more '80s or '90s. I saw it in the US and I think it may have been regular network tv - but I'm not sure. A music band of adults in outrageously loud and crazy costumes sang educational songs. It was kind of like a Wiggles-predecessor and for a slightly older audience, I think. I think they sang about all kinds of educational concepts. They reminded me of the B-52s, which makes me think the show was probably more 90s than 80s. The single episode that really stands out, or maybe the show's intro, involved them wearing cliche Egyptian costumes (think King Tut and Walk Like an Egyptian). I'm pretty sure it was the same band/cast week after week. It did not run many seasons, as far as I can remember. Thanks!
openMy family keeps referencing it but we don't know where it's from. Videogame
Does anyone know this educational game where there's the alphabet and when you click "c" and "k" it says "calica" and "kikinka"? I think it's from the 90s and we played it in the early 2000s
Edited by KuzlalalaopenA Mickey Mouse animation
I found a movie clip where Mickey and Donald was wearing medieval-themed costumes and Donald was saying, “Pete is gonna kidnap Princess Minnie so he can become king -and he’s really a bad guy- and he has a secret lair and it’s really dark and scary! So the point is, he’s gonna kill us if we get in his way, so we should run now as far away as we can!” What's the name of this movie/animation?
openOlder partner Live Action TV
This show had two of the characters talking about partners and someone having an older male sex partner. The guy asks the female if she's ever been with an older partner and she says yes but vaguely mentions that it was a female when she was younger. Might have been some type of cop show?
open5 minute digital animation abc or sbs tv unusual creatures
when my kids were growing up, i remember seeing a 5 minute "cartoon", actually probably digital animation. It was about a huge library full of made up creatures, either from the earth or outer space. It was presented like a science documentary. the names of the creatures were constructed from the form or function of the actual creature and sounded like scientific latin names.. i remember that it was like a giant vault opening with rows and rows of moving shelves. One would open up and the creature for that episode was inside....then they would describe it, its habitat and characteristics...it was very clever....i have been searching for this show for years but cannot remember the title, so its made it very difficult. my kids dont remember it at all..
It was anime episode with a stereotypical group of kids investigating an old laboratory where they find piles of cogs and machinery, and it turns out that they are the remains of defective robots which suddenly begin shimmering and vanish into those piles. I recall an image where there are robots lining up, a few flickering into rusty machinery, and brought into a crushing room where scientists destroy them due to being defective. I recall them showing a robot being crushed while screaming Nooooooo! I think they made friends with some robot, then there's a huge gap in my memory. Anyway, they find themselves in a plateau surrounded by robots, the one they made friends with then flickers and vanishes into a small pile of machinery. They then walk away really depressed, but then suddenly they (for either a reason I don't remember or absolutely no reason) they begin laughing and run cheerfully away. I think it might have involved magical animal trainers, maybe not. I recall absolutely loathing this show and avoiding every airing episode like it was the freaking plague.
