Castle episode where Alexis reads The Pit and the Pendulum Live Action TV

I know this was a scene. I just don't know what episode it is. Alexis calls the book "the original SAW". Please help.

One of the Castle Halloween eps had Alexis informing her dad that "space cowboy" was so passe as a costume. Of course a joke about Fillion being in "Firefly"! Lol.
