They actually shoot them in the leg or they like, attach a cable to their leg?
I think it could be Futurama. I feel like I remember that happening.
But you also have something similar in The Martian.
They shot them in the leg, then reeled them in. It was a desperation move. I think the person who got shot may have pulled the harpoon out and then held onto it while they got pulled in.
There is a Futurama episode about whaling, Mobius Dick. I watched that and while there are harpoons in it, the scene I'm thinking of did not occur. A decent guess though. It's not the Martian, as I have not seen that.
Yeah only reason i said the martian is because i didn't know if you meant literally shot in the leg.
Do you think it was something LIKE Futurama?
Honestly, I briefly thought it was from an episode of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but I watched the one episode where they go into space, and that's not it. I don't think it was played for laughs. I also can't discount the notion that it was in a live action series or movie.
Edited by WillKeatonI found it. It was from the Red Dwarf episode "Ouroboros." Even found the clip online. Though it was a crossbow bolt and a rope instead of a harpoon. It was similar in tone to Futurama after all, both kind of serious and kind of for laughs.
A character is floating in space, with no way to return to the ship/station they originally came from. However, another character has a harpoon gun, so they shoot the first person, in the leg, then reel them in. I can't recall if this was from anime, western animation or live action.
