If there's only one fanon example, there's no need for a page just for fanon. The one example can go on a YMMV page for the work, like:
- Fanon: example text
I think indexing the page before creating it causes it to remain red.
I fixed it, but there really isn't enough for a dedicated page, and the examples are not in a bulleted list as per standard style.

I've tried to go to the fanon page and put it in the index but it always came out red. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Can you help?
