When you find yourself trying to remember a show (or any works) that's on the tip of your tongue but just out of reach, come here - the collective brain of the TVTropes community can probably help. Post all the details you can remember (examples help). If you're looking for a trope, head over to Trope Finder. Have general questions about tropes? Visit Ask The Tropers!
Do you remember where you found it? There are only 67 Harry Potter / House M.D. crossovers on Archive of Our Own, probably less after filtering to English (it was English-language, correct?), and probably a similar number on FFN. If you could clarify where you read it, we could try to filter via tags (if it's AO 3) or just page through by hand otherwise.
Edited by birdsinthewindowI checked Archive of Our Own (filters: fandoms: Harry Potter and House M.D., language: English, characters: Gregory House) and didn't find anything like what you described.
Edited by birdsinthewindowFFN doesn't seem to have any House M.D. crossovers at all.
So unfortunately that leaves us with Wattpad, LiveJournal, and tumblr, which are a lot harder to search. Darn.
Edited by birdsinthewindowThank you all for checking! I *think* it was on FFN, and yes it was in English. Maybe it really isn't online anymore. Dang.
I never finished reading this story and I can't find it anywhere online. Read it maybe a few years ago? The beginning involves a few HP characters apparating into House's office to ask for his help curing Harry's mysterious muggle disease, House doesn't believe their claims and they end up demonstrating some magic stuff to convince him. I believe it was Hermione and one other person, perhaps Dumbledore or Snape?
House agrees to help but insists on bringing some of his team to help. Harry was being hidden away (maybe in a secret hospital room?) to keep Voldemort/etc from realizing he was ill and vulnerable.
I also vaguely remember Chase being somehow connected to the wizarding world and he had been hiding in the muggle world for some reason? I *think* he was a bad guy but I'm not sure. Also remember at some point House needed supplies from the hospital, including an MRI machine I think, and whoever went to get the supplies had to shrink the MRI. I feel like that and the Chase connection was in the same scene maybe?
I'd love to be able to finish reading this story, but even if it's not available online anymore maybe my brain will stop obsessing if I at least know the title.
