I'll second @Red Scharlach's answer.
When I was at school my teacher once showed us this strange stop-motion animated short (animated with puppets like The nightmare before Christmas), I would've been about seven years old at the time which means that it wouldn't have been made later than 2003. The short was about a funny animal aardvark who was an outcast among his own kind. He meets a bird and they travel together to a place called "Bird City" a city where all the inhabitants are (surprisingly!) anthropomorphic birds. The scene I remember the most vividly was the climax of the short. It starts with this burly red bird, who I think might have been the mayor of bird city, explaining to the aardvark that he wants to turn the aardvark into a bird. He gets out a chainsaw or a similar tool and the aardvark runs off, starting a chase scene that I have a funny feeling was set to rockabilly music. I distinctly remember that the aardvark's pants fell down during the chase scene, revealing that he's wearing blue boxer shorts with pictures of ants all over them. Another scene I distinctly remember was a scene where the aardvark and the bird have just arrived at Bird City and they meet a group of female birds who looked very anthropomorphic, essentially looking like human women but with bird faces, and their dog , that had the body of a Maltese or a similar breed but had the face of a bird. I also remember the short ending with a dance party ending. As weird as the cartoon sounds, I don't remember ever finding it scary as a kid, I found it more funny than anything.
