Like, an in-game quiz about the game knowledge?

No, a player controlled character acting clueless about stuff they ought to know for the players benefit.

The "whats a paladin" question from Ultima IX is the most famous example. I noticed it in Dragon Age Origins when the mage asks the gate guard if she can leave the tower even though she has spent her entire life knowing she is not allowed to.

As You Know?

As far as I can tell that is only for cases when someone is spouting exposition and then being informed (or realizing them selves) that the person they are telling this already know this.

In video games in particular it is often possible to ask question that the player doesnt know but the character should. Sometimes prompting the NPC to ask if they bumped their head or something. Is this not a trope/trope worthy?

the NPC asks if the PC bumped their head or something
That's the "you should know this already" statement. For medical dramas, common medical phenomena and simple procedures usually aren't preceded by any "you should know this already" statement, just the explaination and moving on.

As You Know is exposition which would be redundant to the character's personal knowledge, not just "you should know this already" quotes.

Then the trope you wanted is definitely related to As You Know. You might like to try looking at the page to check the trope you want.

In Majora's Mask Tatl does this all the time when you ask her about things via C-up. As most enemies are straight from the previous game Ocarina of Time this is fair enough.

Many instances of "What?! You don't even know about X?", "Don't tell me you don't know about the X!", and "What?! Don't you know about the X?", along with the more polite "You know about the X, right?"

Tatl doesn't do this for enemies introduced in Majora's Mask, don't ask me how she knows what you've seen before.

Should I take this to the Trope Launch Pad?

Its related to As You Know but that trope does not include the player asking questions their character should already know. Its really common in RPG's.

Correct; As You Know only covers the answers to those questions. It can occur with or without prompting by another character.

The Watson asks questions on behalf of the audience:

This may lead to As You Know if the Watson character is supposed to know about the info already (so it only serves as an exposition to the audience).

Ah, This would be covered under player character The Watson. Thanks
