Your mama may have had eyes in the back of her head, but our admin team just can't see everything at once. It takes a village to make sure TVTropes is running the way it should, so when it comes to spotting tech snafus, dreaming up a better digital mousetrap, or just diagnosing plain old asshattery, the quicker you let us know something's up, the quicker we can address it. See a bug? Point to it and we'll squash it. Have idea for a new feature? Post in the Tech Wishlist.

I second this. This seems to be one of the many 1.8 bugs that were never fixed — I think it was previously brought up in the "1.8 overhaul" thread, but it got lost in the shuffle and was never properly addressed. It would be nice to see it fixed since I find it handy to be able to click on the lock and go on Locked Pages to see exactly why the page was locked in the first place. Yes, I know I can go there via the URL, but that's like hot-wiring my car when I should be able to use my key.
UPDATE: It's now fixed, clicking on "Edit Page" on a locked page now brings up a dialog saying that the page is locked with a link to Locked Pages. Guess the bug can be closed now.

I was linking a new page and noticed when I clicked on the Edit Page on the Monster/ page, it linked to the edit page rather then the Administrivia.Locked Pages page.
I tested it and saving the edit doesn't make any changes to the page but it would probably be better to for newbie editors to be sent to the Administrivia page that explains what to do rather then potentially leaving them in the dark.
