Looking at their edit history, they do have an anti-Nostalgia Critic agenda. On the YMMV page for Transformers: The Last Knight, they changed an entry referring to the Critic's video by referring to him as "a now-disgraced critic". And on So Bad, It's Horrible page for Animated Films, they deleted a commented out entry referring to the Critic's opinion on a movie.
I understand removing some of these entries, but I don't think they're going about the right way. You don't fix entries plugging a creator by making snide insults on them. Yes, Doug has done some crappy things, but there are better ways to repair those entries.
Edited by chasemaddiganOur of morbid curiousity, what's the Critic done that's apparently so awful? Or is it just "exist on the internet?"
Without getting into the nitty-gritty, the management of Channel Awesome has had a history of mistreating many of their contributors who aren't part of the Chicago team like Doug. This reached a tipping point a few months ago when many former contributors put together a Google Doc detailing their bad experiences and the site's poor response to these accusations led to a mass exodus of people still on the site.
There's much more I could get into, but I those are the bare-basics of what's happened.
Regardless, this guy needs a tap on the shoulder.
Yeah, that's pretty bad agenda based editing. Needs to stop.
Thumping this in the hopes a mod will see it.
Let's see what they have to say.
Tropers. The Fallof El Dorado deleted an entry from YMMV.Deadpool 2 and said in the edit reason that it's because someone dared to to portray The Nostalgia Critic positively.
