Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Anaheyla here, operating from a different than normal connection so as to defend myself. I confess that I overreacted. I do that when people are being rude or unreasonable. In any event, I apologize(though I'm hardly the only guilty party here).
Apparently that offense was enough to get me banned from the entire site(though I wasn't contacted or warned in any way), which I feel is rather disproportionate. I'm attempting to contact the staff to see if I can get the ban lifted. This'll be my last contribution until then, supposing it happens at all. Toodles.
Looks like you were using Headscratchers to complain about a character you don't like. That's not allowed.
Read the Headscratchers.Home Page.
Complaining about a character he didn't like, and accusing of anyone who disagreed with him of being a delusional fanboy. "Overreacted" would imply this was an isolated incident, while the history of and discussion page for Moral Dissonance shows it isn't. And if the fact that someone disagrees with you about a fictional character's actions is enough to make you "overreact" like that, maybe you've got a problem.
The shame of it is, on anything not related to Katara, Anaheyla's more or less a model troper. It really is only posts directly related to her that seems to set him off.
Just because everyone else is complaining about it doesn't mean that you can jump on the bandwagon as well. We have Darth Wiki for complaining about characters you don't like, shows you don't like etc etc. Headscratchers is part of the main wiki, thusly we try to keep it civil.
When your question boils down to "why do the writers do things I don't like," that's not a headscratcher. It's complaining trying very poorly to pretend it's a headscratcher.
Infinite Tree: an experimental story
There's an argument going on over in Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Gaang. I'm not sure how big a deal that would be if it was just a heated debate, but Anaheyla has started insulting the tropers opposing his side of the debate.
