Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Worth noting that the Synopsis namespace no longer exists: all story summaries should go in the Recap namespace.
To answer your question: yes it is correct that we permit spoilers on Recap articles. Nobody should read a Recap for something that they don't mind seeing spoilers about. This is one reason why we keep them separate from the main articles.

I think you meant "...that they don't want to see spoilers about"?
There's actually a lot of pages in the Synopsis/ namespace. Is this worth a projects thread (or using one that already exists)?
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyThat would likely make sense.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI suspect the merge didn't happen because it makes no sense. A synopsis of a work vs. a work page for an episode and an index for such pages are distinctly different.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe thread which merged the two namespaces.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. Not sure if it was discussed in that old thread, but a synopsis of the whole work could go under the head page for the Recap/ subpages.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyYes, this was a consensus decision. There is not enough difference between Synopsis and Recap to keep them in separate namespaces. Regardless, the OP's question is answered: we permit spoilers in Recaps because the person reading should expect them.

Hello,
I have a question about the use of "synopsis" pages of this site. As far as I know, synopses as written in other sites usually avoid spoiler content and in general don't delve too deep into the story, only scratching the surface. But synopses in this site for some reason always have spoilers. Is that a right thing to do or not?
Thanks in advance
