Is there a trope for something that's entertaining and accidentally educational? For instance, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? is a clearly intentional educational game. Even if a kid massively enjoyed it, it's clear to him that its purpose is to teach him geography.
Desktop Dungeons, on the other hand, is accidentally educational. It's a really fun RPG/strategy/puzzle game, and, if you want to learn to do well at it, you're going to end up doing a lot of math. You'll never think, though, that the purpose of the game is to teach you math.
These examples are video games, but it could apply to just about any media.
