Oh man, I had that second game (which probably means I had the first one too, because I had the set of several C Ds it came in; I don't remember the first game just because I only played the game with the cat and dog and the arts and crafts game). I'm fairly certain it was called Night Light. I almost want to say we still have the CD in my house somewhere, but I'm pretty sure my dad's thrown it out by now.
That second one sounded so familiar that I did a quick eBay/Google search and found it. It was definitely called Night Light and it had Pixel the Dog and Pandora the Cat. Unfortunately, I only found an eBay page which didn't contain very much information about it.
The first doesn't sound familiar at all, so can't help you there, sorry.
Thanks, guys! It is just nice having a name for one of them and knowing other people remember it.
oh oh i think i might remember the first one! could you go out on lenny's balcony and look out over the city, or something like that? i don't remember the name but i will look around.
The first one is "Lenny's Music Toons." I didn't even have to use google, I remember that game quite fondly.
Thank you! Now if I could just hear the "Night Light" theme song again...
Two early to mid-nineties kid PC games, that came in a set with several others:
The first was a music-centered game starring a penguin named Lenny. His apartment was the main screen and everything did different stuff when you clicked around. One of the mini-games was making your own band of animal musicians from varying genres (hip hop, classical, etc) and giving them really bizarre, randomly generated names. Another mini-game was falling apples or something that you had to click in time, with a dog or a fox at the bottom of the screen, but you could choose different backgrounds and settings for it.
The second was a game starring a dog and a cat in the suburbs, whose family has gone out for the night. You go to all the different rooms in the house, which are dark and filled with what looks like monsters and other creepy stuff, and shine the flashlight to show what these mundane things really are. (The backyard had what looked like a dinosaur, but I don't remember what it really was.) The theme song was very catchy and went like, "Don't be afraid of the dark. It's just your imagination, (something something something)." Might have been called something like "Night Light".
