I don't know, but it would appear to be related to/a subtrobe of "bound person needs help with something they would normally manage by themself". I remember one scene in which a bound man needed his penis held by another man to go to the toilet. Hilarity Ensued.
Come to think of it, didn't something similar happen in Death and the Maiden? Or did the man just have to pee at gunpoint?
Is there an article for situations in which a bound character starts to complain about having an itchy nose?
