Yes, but there are several, is there an unwritten rule like "no more than five images per day" or something to avoid flooding it (no, I have no understanding of how computers work).

I don't think there's a rule like that.
But yeah, as long as you link to the image rather than the site, it should be fine.

Is there a rule for uploading images instead of linking to them (in terms of quantity)? I found cool fanart I wanted to include in an Image Links page, but it's on Gelbooru (the image itself is completely SFW, but the ads... yeah).
