This is just a hunch, but I'm guessing s/he wasn't apologetic...
Probably not. When I saw her account, she pinned the blame on Asperger's Syndrome, which a) is a very common excuse for poor behavior online and b) I'm pretty sure I can say from experience has no impact on one's grammar.
