You've Got Mail the guy doesn't use the dog as a username but she does know the dog's name from their conversations and recognises the guy is the one she is conversing online with after hearing him calling the dog's name

That's the movie! Thank you! I seem to have misremembered.
All I remember about the movie is that a girl starts a non-face-to-face relationship with a guy, using his dog's name as his username. At the end of the movie, the lady encounters the man in a park. He calls for his dog, at which point the lady realizes she's been in love with him all along (which she was hoping for). I can't remember if the lady had a day job at some sort of office building.
