Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I guess someone forgot to cut or merge them when moving through cleanup and thought the cleanup was finished.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSo someone went and cut them. Still, one thing bothers me: Hamlets's Rosenkranz and Guildenstern were said to be the Trope Codifier, yet they are not on the page. I don't know enough about the play to say whether they fit now.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years. If the trope description is correct now, then Rosencrantz and Guildenstern do not count. Neither in Hamlet nor in the play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead, since they are the main characters in that one.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose me
Those Two Guys had a TRS effort that tightened the definition and lead to a lot of examples being cut. However, something very wrong happened with the subpages, ThoseTwoGuys.Video Games and Theatre: they still exist, they still have problems of bad indention and lack of context, they are indexed on the main trope page but... the main page doesn't link to them. The wicks were removed during the TRS rewrite, but if the subpages exist, surely they should be acknowledged?
My guess is that they were supposed to be cutlisted but that never went through.
