Thinking about it, I've seen enough to determine that these wrestlers and this promotion don't actually exist. The DS game definitely doesn't; It was removed from Volition for being fake. I went down these two users' edit histories and removed all the "Maple Leaf Grappling" edits that were still live on the site. I think that's all that can be done here.
Edited by thelivingtoadYeah, this reads like some guy's fan fiction or unpublished work, so strictly Darth Wiki material if it belongs on the wiki at all.
I vote to nuke it from orbit.
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart.Cut it.
Trans rights are human rights! All of these examples are now cut
I actually made that edit on Creator.Volition because I saw this query and decided to look up if they made this "game". Sure enough, they didn't.

I've come across examples on pages like Promoted Fanboy, Suspiciously Similar Song.ProfessionalWrestling, and Catch Phrase.ProfessionalWrestling for something called "Maple Leaf Grappling" that supposedly features wrestlers named Penelope Pettigrew and Margaret Tiger. I've looked online for any sources for proof of these wrestlers' and this promotion's existence, and all I get are links back to TV Tropes. Penelope Pettigrew seems to be a singer on The Voice, and was inserted into Promoted Fanboy in an edit that removed a real wrestler. Another example on Porting Disaster.Handhelds is for what seems to be a fake DS game for this wrestling promotion with a claim that an also seemingly non-existent YouTuber had reviewed it.
The two editors who seem to have made these edits are Maple Leaf Grappling Fanboy and Calvin The Destroyer, both of whom have not edited in years but almost all of their edits are adding these "Maple Leaf Grappling" wrestlers as examples to trope pages.
The only thing I've found called Maple Leaf Grappling that actually exists seems to be a fictional promotion from the video games Wrestling Revolution 2D/3D and Wrestling Empire, neither of which contain these wrestlers.
I can't find any evidence that this promotion or these wrestlers actually exist, to the point where I suspect they could be these editors' (maybe even one person using multiple accounts?) own creations. What should I do with this?
