I remember seeing some sort of "island adventure" film when I was younger. It was in full color, and the only part I remember is the main characters (two kids and an older man?) discovering that a series of "island adventure" books are talking about a real place. There were three books in the series, and each one had a partial map in the front. I remember one of them was just a big sweeping area of coastline. If lined up right, the three pages would make a full map of the island. I remember that they took the "map" pages out of the book, lined them up, and "scanned" (old-timey scanning with placing them against a lighted background) them. As the camera was panning past the "scanning apparatus", one of the pages fell over. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
