A form of Tutorial Failure - closely related are ones that mention some super-important piece of information once in the middle of an Info Dump or Wall of Text and expect you to both notice it and instantly memorize it.
IE: *Absently pushing A to skim through boring tutorial* "Wait, what came before "and this is the only way to permanently kill most enemies, so be sure to remember that."?!"

For example: it might tell you near the beginning that some monster is really vulnerable to a certain weapon or item, only for said monster to not show up until the last 10 percent of the game, meaning most players will have forgotten about it by then. (unless they have an Eidetic Memory.)
