openHitman with stomach problems? Film
I remember seeing a movie on TV years ago, somewhere between 2002 and 2005, that I'm trying to find the name of. From the style and aesthetics I'm guessing the movie came out somewhere between 1990 and the time frame I saw it. The main character was a generic white male who worked as some kind of hitman/mercenary/professional spy. I believe there's a shootout scene early on in the film that plays several Bulletproof Vest tropes, but I may be mistaken on the timing. The main character has some kind of nebulous stomach problem and routinely chugs an over the counter medication (mylanta, maalox or something similar) to deal with it. In one scene it is held from him by his love interest who wants answers, I believe about his lifestyle. The overall plot may revolve around him trying to get up enough money to retire from his line of work.
openAn anime about 3 kid ghosts living with people? Anime
I remember that when I was really young, I used to watch an episodic anime that centered around 3 child ghosts, each one living with a different family of normal people. One ghost lived in a restaurant, second with a barber, no idea on the third one. I recall that one episode with the chef ghost had him become more scary by eating spicy food, and another where the barber ghost had to rescue a girl with very long hair who gets stuck on Big Ben or a similar big clock.
Any idea what that was?
openWorld of Warcraft soundtrack Music
Hi! I'm searching for a song which I know is from World of Warcraft. But I cannot find it online, for whatever reason.
I remember it played on a small island that was somewhere in the Blood elf starting region. There were some night elves on that island which would attack you on sight. Afaik the song I'm searching for played only in that place. It was a sad sounding little tune with only violin and guitar/harp, I think. The harp/guitar played something and the violin followed, like a little duet. I loved the sad nostalgic atmosphere it created, however I cannot find this anywhere (I don't play Wo W anymore). I searched for 'Wo W blood elf soundtrack' and such but it wasn't among the results. It was in the Wot LK era if maybe the soundtrack was changed afterwards.
openTeenagers half the time, other half they are in a virtual environment (very videogame-ish) Live Action TV
It use to be one of those Saturday cartoon shows but half was live action and the other was animated when the teenagers were in a virtual reality videogame thing. I remember their avatars were a green guy and a pink one. I think they had real world consequences if they died in the game too but not 100% on that.
Edited by QuevaopenNo idea Literature
This scary story is one I remember reading in a book of scary stories, like Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, but I don't know if it's in that book in particular or even if it was in the same series. I'm looking for the short story in particular, not the name of the book it's from. The story, as I remember it best, goes something like this: a man goes to a party. He has recently lost someone he loved, perhaps a bride or someone he was married to. Somehow, his dead love arrives, still looking like a corpse. She walks up to him, and they begin dancing. After dancing for a while, he dies. That's all I remember.
openStarfish aliens in a ship that suddenly appears around Earth? Literature
A book based around the ship that arrives in Earth orbit, full of strange aliens, mostly non-sapient. They're initially regarded as hostile, but a team starts to find out where they're from by reading pictograms on the walls. They turn out to be from a planet with very high winds, to the point where some of the aliens slide around on a curved spike in the middle of their body (they're shaped like starfish), and trees have roots at each end of the trunk to anchor them. I don't know if it's a whole book or a short story, but that's what I remember about it. Anyone remember it/the title?
openDark, Freaky, Animal Crossing-y Game Set At a Hotel Videogame
I've been trying to remember a game, PS 2 or Gamecube-level graphics, that I saw gameplay of on You Tube years ago. For the life of me, I can't remember the title, butI remember you played as a human in a run down, sort-of haunted hotel out in a dark forest. The hotel is populated with anthropomorphic animals and is managed by a bespectacled, old rat. Other things I remember:
- You meet a cat with purple fur, a red and black-striped shirt and stitches in his face.
- The first night, the main character has a dream where a Grim Reaper offers to help him leave the hotel in exchange for collecting a number of a kind of object
- The game eventually starts running on an internal clock and the other characters have certain routines set to that clock
- The first "boss" of the game was dressed as a nurse and carried a huge syringe
openYouTube Poop where Thomas the Tank Engine mistook a dalmatian for a cow Web Original
Does anyone else remember seeing a video like this where the following conversation happens? Thomas:Look! She's got a cow! Dalmatian:Moo! I'd really like to find this, so please help if possible.
openTV show about monsters and urban legends Live Action TV
So I remember there being a television show where each episode would subject on a monster or urban legend and the episode showed the viewer information about that specific creature. Each episode would also have a fake story about people being terrorized by that creature. I remember that the show was on Netflix at one point in time. Does anyone know the name of this show?

Edited by ragsorzresolved 1990s TV ad (USA) Live Action TV
Early 1990s, I used to see a commercial on television. It was targeted for parents. The product advertised was a handheld, battery-powered portable video game that had many pre-programmed games. I don't think it used cartridges or game cards or diskettes or anything like that, it was just pre-programmed games. The screen was a black-and-white dot matrix, I'm pretty sure about that. It was advertised to have a large number of games ("over 300 games" or something) but I was under the impression that they inflated that number by including variants of the same game. For example, remember Tetris? Remember how Tetris had "Type-A" and "Type-B" gameplay? According to this advertisement, those were two different games. I think Tetris was actually a pre-programmed game (or some similar kind of falling block puzzle game at least).
Now what really makes this advertisement memorable is that the (male) announcer tells the parents, "NEVER buy those expensive video game cartridges again!!" and the picture showed a close-up of a hand dropping a video game cartridge into a wastebasket. I particularly remember that the game shown was the Super NES version of Street Fighter II. As a kid, I instantly recognized it because I owned that game and it was one of the most popular games at that time. This means the commercial I'm looking for was probably aired in 1992 or 1993. Even as a kid I thought this was absurd, because I knew that game cost about $70 and the announcer described it as "expensive" so it wouldn't make sense for a parent to throw it into the trash, even if they bought a new handheld device with over 300 games.
openA movie I saw once long ago Film
Alright, so I don't remember much about this movie, but it was an adventure story. The main characters were an adventurer male and a photographer female. I recall one of the final scenes had a bunch of cages floating down into an ocean, which might have held animals of some sort, and the reporter goes to take a picture of the adventurer with her last shot of film despite his protests and after she does, he finally gets out, "Lens cap."
openIts not yugioh its live action Live Action TV

open90s(?) xena-esque UK broadcast fantasy show
So this just hit me tonight and I remembered a tv series, xena style, that must've been 90s, I'm sure the 00s was too late and 80s too early. I have done a fair bit of googling but have not found it.
The catch is, I actually don't remember anything about the show. What I do remember, is it had a whole collection of action figures. I always wanted one figure, and eventually got it. It was a sorcerer looking woman, she had long black hair, a black crown with two points on top, a bit like catwoman ears, and on her long black dress she had spider webs on the front.
For these figures and tv show to be aired in the UK, I would guess it wasn't an American show, maybe, Canadian? Australian? I dunno. It probably was American.
I have searched a lot and cannot find anything. In my minds eye I even think I recall the boxes for the figures having a sort of lime green flame/neon colour going around the name of the show. I would guess that was also used in the opening titles of the program.
openLooking for the name of an anime with angels? Anime
I can't remember the exact details of the anime, but there is a child who inherits a orb which is inside his hand.
He was trained by the bad guys in the enemy base camp, but later he goes to a church academy place (?) and trains to fight for the good side. He uses a cross as a weapon. . Also the teachers are angels and there's three of them.
Sorry it's not much to go on.
openGuys vs Girls Beach?
I don't know if these are the same movie/musical or different ones, but I remember there was a beach and the girls all rode bikes and the guys all did roller skates...? It was something like that-they had differences, and there may have been music. It was kind of like a boy vs girl thing, I think, but the genders of the sides may have been mixed. If they were mixed, is there another movie/musical with boys vs girls I might be thinking of, with a song?
openGoing nuts looking for a show about Psychology!
Back in about the early to mid 80s, I used to watch this amazing show about the mind, the brain, and psychology. It was on our local PBS, and looked to have been made in about the 70s, maybe 60s.
It was trippy as hell, had a lot of stop motion animations, cut and paste stuff, just all kinds of stuff like that, mixed with videos of actual experiments, like the Little Albert, the monkeys taken from parents, etc. There was about 30, half hour episodes.
I know it's not Discovering Psychology, since the updated version is 1989, and it's too new and polished to be the one Im thinking of.
