[up][up]Except the rape scene, if you ask me. Too much Fridgelogic.

[up]Eh, sanity is overrated. Yes, it's definitely a "happier" ending, if only because there's less murder going on. but it's hardly a suitable climax to a story like this.

I still believe that the Blooming ending was the best ending. Beautiful, yet horrifying, much like most of the novel. Still have a preference for the Kouji ending, though, since that's the one that's closest to a "the good guys win" ending. I'm a sucker like that.

[up]I can buy the whole "Saya is an Ambush predator" explanation, but I can see criticisms that all the stuff with Susumi was Grimdark for Grimdark's sake; its the closest the game comes to it at least.

I think the Blooming ending and the Saya and Fuminori being joined in death ending are the ones that are most thematically fitting. I do think the therapy ending works too though; its like the 'Walker goes home' ending in Spec Ops The Line, it's technically the 'best' possible ending but its also kind of a denial of who he truly is.

The point of the VN I think is that Fuminori is evil, but that doesn't mean his love for Saya (and vice versa) isn't genuine. To him, all that matters in the world is Saya, Yoh is just an object to him. It's horrifying yes, but I think it strikes a theme about the capacity for evil lurks in the hearts of all men. (Susumi was this way too, though I think he was a bit too on the nose)

These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.
