Blazing Blade Lyn/Hector Mode, Chapter 6: Blood of Pride
As we saved the Marquess of Araphen, this chapter features Rath the Nomad and Matthew the Thief joining our party, and teaches how useful thieves can be in unlocking doors and opening treasure chests. And although the game never gives any kind of tutorial on it, my experience with Awakening and Fates reminded me that I can use the Rescue ability to not only save units from danger, but also to help less mobile units get to where the action is. It saved me some time once the switch on the south branch of the map was hit, in getting my party back together for the final push against the boss.
Also, as Sain said so eloquently, "The Marquess is a lout!"

@ Three Houses news drought; it wouldn't be so painful if we had a clearer vision of the game. Fates for example set up a very clear east vs west theme in the initial trailer but given the only gameplay fights we've seen in Three Houses so far are mock battles we don't even know who the bad guys are supposed to be.
Honestly I kinda forget that 3 House is a thing. Is the game suppose come out in next Spring?
No, it's in spring.
Okay things are looking up. I recruited Ayra and now the Cross Knights showed up to deal with the Heinlein entourage who would have ripped Arden to shreds.
Blazing Blade Lyn/Hector Mode, Chapter 7: Siblings Abroad
Here, we meet Nils the Bard and Lucius the Monk, and learn about Playing to give units an extra turn, and the Trinity of Magic and Light and Dark magic's places in it. Now, I have to get Nils to Lv. 7 by the end of Lyn's campaign to unlock a sidequest later in Hector's story, and he starts at Lv. 1. He did the most playing for Serra, to help her level up too.
Now, there were a few scary moments in this fight. While Kent was holding the bridge in front of the northern village, he took a crit from a Mercenary, but he survived it thanks to the base damage of the attack being so low, and having trouble getting units into position to heal him or take out the other enemies behind the Merc. But we managed to pull through on that one. Later, while taking on the boss, I had to take a risk and put Serra in his line of fire to heal Florina after her and the other attacks on him proved insufficient to kill him thanks to a miss from Dorcas with his Hand Axe. By the end of the phase, the boss had 1 HP left. But on the enemy phase, he chose to attack Wil and missed, and Wil landed his counterattack to end the chapter.
I also managed to unlock this chapter's sidequest.

And video game development being what it is these days, don’t be shocked if that ends up meaning September. Although Nintendo is usually better about not announcing any kind of date unless they mean it than some other companies are.
Blazing Blade Lyn/Hector Mode, Chapter 7x; The Black Shadow
In this chapter, we storm a Black Fang stronghold to get Ninian's ring back. I had Matthew and a few others break through the wall on the west side of the map to get to the treasure chest and get the Hammer inside before the enemy thief did, while the rest went up the other side. Nils came in handy in the early stages of the battle, helping units get from one side of the map to the other as needed. With her Javelin, Florina handled most of the magic-wielding enemies. Toward the end, Sain made his way around behind the two Mercenaries at the top of the map from the west side, while the rest of my party, led by Lyn, came at them from the south. Then, it was just a matter of taking down the boss with Wil and Lucius, and getting the ring from him.

May also get a better response after Lyn's part is done, since it's not a terribly interesting section of the game.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiGandolf gives out EXP like a pinata. I'm gonna have fun smacking him around with low level units.
Well that didn't go as planned as Lex ended up finishing him off before I could abuse him for more EXP. Some of my units leveled up but other than Sigurd (level 14!), Quan and Lex my army is hovering around level 5. That's too low for Chapter 1 isn't it?
So after about three days I finally cleared chapter one of Genealogy. Took a while to get Azel to kill the boss to acquire the magic ring but it should do him handy.
Also Raquesis has the hots for her brother right? Am I just a pervert?

I both agree & disagree with that.
It's still pretty pointless in the long run of the story but the Lyndis Legion were pretty much the only characters I got invested in. I got bored with the cast of Blazing Sword after Louise & Pent's introduction. Although I still like Hawkeye, Nino, & Jaffar
I've returned to GotHW after several months and my God the last boss of chapter 10 is complete bullshit. If I didn't have two separate characters with Charm, I don't see myself making it.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Got a little further into Awakening. Donnel and Maribelle are now married, with less Uptown Girl stuff than I was expecting.
I also have Olivia, and I'm shipping her with Virion because I know Laslow is her son, and Virion is clearly the lad's canon father. She also got up to a C support with Kellam. Oh, poor Kellam.
Speaking of Virion, he's brought along Cherche, who is the kind of sweet maiden one would expect to ride a pegasus rather than a wyvern. So far she comes across as closer to what I was expecting from Cordelia going into this game.
Miriel left me ehh at first, but she's now my favourite character. For Science!!!!
Ukrainian Red Cross...You mean Inigo?
Clearly he played Fates before Awakening
The close interaction between the characters in Lyn mode is what is missing in the main story. Then again support convos take a grind to get in the GBA titles.
Might pair Chrom with Olivia (because Inigofast should be a lord with those looks and stats) if I find my Awakening cartridge...
Get Out of Our Home.Yes, I did in fact play Fates first. I'm sure I'll come to think of him as Inigo, but for now he's Laslow to me.
Ukrainian Red CrossSo Chapter 2 of Genealogy is going alright, and I thought I'd ask how the shipping in this game works. How do I pair people together, and what pairings should I aim for? I'm aiming for the most broken units possible because I believe wholeheartedly in the power of eugenics.
Also I am really feeling the Horse Emblem of this game because every non-mounted unit might as well be a sitting duck if they aren't Ayra or Jamke.

Just wanted to share this old thing.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Which game is Rydick from again?
Genealogy of the Holy War.
Ukrainian Red CrossAccording to the wiki, he first appeared in Thracia.

Jokes on you I'm fluent in Japanese and imported a copy for the SFC.
cough
I was making really good progress since Sigurd is apparently a magnet for axes and everyone ignored Aidean for him, only when I took the castle Ayra flipped out and murdered Noish on the way there.
