lmao that credits
Surprised they're taking time in Mars.
Hi all, I don't have nor want HBO Max so I'm not up-to-date on season 4, but I saw a brief mention about Wally's death and the fandom's reaction to it while browsing the forums, and I thought I should offer my thoughts because the latter is bugging me a little bit.
I think the main reason a large chunk (or at least a vocal minority) of the fandom are so in denial about Wally actually being dead is because of one Ask Greg post where Greg stated that whether Wally is actually dead or not was a spoiler. He then clarified in another post that that doesn't necessarily mean Wally's coming back.
But then someone asks me the same about Tula, I don't want to spoil her surprise return, but I also don't want to lie, so I answer with "SPOILER REQUEST, NO COMMENT". Someone then realizes that I was clear with Jason, but not with Tula, ergo, Tula is coming back and I've spoiled my own show, which I LOATHE to do."
TLDR: Greg stating that Wally's fate is a spoiler doesn't necessarily mean that Wally's coming back, it's just that he doesn't want to unintentionally spoil things in the future.
I'm not going to pretend that Wally's death didn't suck I wouldn't do a good job at it anyway because he's my favorite character, but there's a lot more than just 1 character in YJ, and let's be real, it's been more than 3 years in-universe since Wally's death, if there was some magical way for him to somehow come back, it would've happened by now. What would they even do with him anyway?

Series creators Brandon Vietti & Greg Weisman will be taking part in a question and answer on Reddit on November 2 at 5:30pm Eastern/2:30pm Pacific.
This thread is weirdly quiet considering what went down in the latest episode.
Do you guys think Superboy is really dead? Did the Legion save him? They did seemingly vanish from the episode after they moved in on the mysterious time traveler.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Seems unlikely, from a sheer storytelling standpoint. Just didn't seem dramatic enough for one of the main characters.
Also, saw more of mystery guy. Any more theories? Pretty sure he's not Darkseid

X2: It was either the Legion that saved Connor, or our mysterious onlooker who added that additional part to the Martian bomb. It found it odd that the bomb had traces of Kryptonite, as I didn't figure Dessad would factor for a Krytonian intervening.
Maybe Ma’alefa’ak gave him the heads up on Superboy, or Kryptonite happens to be an important ingredient for the bomb regardless? Or that was an additional sabotage of the mysterious onlooker?
As a side note, I'm enjoying the Mars arc way more than I anticipated. Admittedly, I was discouraged that we weren't getting into the Legion plot right away, but even that weaved its way into the plot rather soon.

I have this strange suspicion that Conner is in Phantom Zone.
Might as well just copy HBO Max's latest tweet verbatim:
Oh, Ma'alefa'ak is sooo dead. The last time M'gann encountered someone who she thought killed one of her best friends, she scrambled his mind. I can't imagine what she's going to do to her fiancee's murderer.
The only thing saving him is Greg Weisman's hatred of killing anyone off. It's super rare people die in this. That and no, of course Connor's probably not dead and Weisman just seems intent on ringing out any last hints of drama they can get from Connor and Megan for the cheap angst.
Honestly I can barely think of many long running villains that Weismamn has killed off in his shows. Let alone heroes. Guys like Phobos and gang (Witch) and most of the gargoyle rogues are proof of that. Connor will be fine
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I said the exact same thing.
Hell, she might go even worse on him, because she tried to apologize before hand. Also note, she probably did more to help smooth over Green/White relations through discovering who murdered the king than his bomb would have....but you know, terrorist, so that makes sense.
One Strip! One Strip!Oh yeah, she also knows that he set said bomb that would have obliterated Mars' population including their family. So she has a lot of reasons to want to beat his ass

If my understanding is correct, the kryptonite was in the bomb that Mysterious Person added, not in the FOXDIE virus, right?
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyYes, that was because of... whatever future machinations that are going on. But also, yes, I'm sure a character killing her own brother is totally a thing that's going to happen. Yep.
Oh. I don't expect her to succeed. But rest assured, she's gonna come close. Like, there's no way she's not going to go absolutely berserk on M'Comm for what he just did. He was going to not only kill everyone (including their sister and mother, but did manage to kill the man she loved, a mere day before her wedding. Older siblings have been shit stomping younger siblings for far less since the beginning of time.
One Strip! One Strip! If his plan succeeded and had done as it intended it would have potentially killed her and himself as well since it was never tested on children of parents with different skin tones.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I bet that after M'gann gets done curb-stomping M'comm, she's going to honor his wish by only referring to him as Ma'alafa'ak from now on since she wouldn't possibly want to call him her brother after this. And really, a Ma'alafa'ak is all he is now. Just a beast filled with nothing but hatred.

I have a feeling that the Legion saved Conner before the Kyptonite bomb killed him. It seems like that could be the whole reason they were here.
That is a thing in the comics now that I think about it.
Or wait was that for Bart Allen?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I wonder what it was about saving Superboy that was so significant that time travelers needed to get involved to ensure it happened?

Maybe It's a Freejack situation, and he was SUPPOSED to die as far as history knows (leaving the Superboy mantle open for Clark's kid) but they snatch him up at the last instant for Legion adventures in the future? I mean, they did that with Supergirl in the DCAU, but still.

Did he say would never kill anyone of or is that a mainly what fans believe? Though i agree that the Legion probably saved Conner.
No but if you track any of his shows. You can tell how rare death is for recurring characters.
Poor Wally is the only main hero I know off from anything he's made to permadie
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."
I am guessing Darkseid. He is a big bad if this section of the show and the stone fire face that caused the earth quake looked like him. The region also fought him in the Greta darkness saga.
I'm totally not Grant Morrison
