...oh.

Oh geez, this is a whole bunch of political hullabaloo I do not want to participate in. But I can't just drop the scroll and pretend it never existed... Those little dudes just want to be free spirits! I can't just look that over! Alright, seems I'll have to take matters into my own hands...

I decide to head into the city after all to see if I can locate this Darkfang fellow. Or the dwarf I ganked this notice from if I spot him first.

First, zap both of the mages to interupt them. Then collapse the opposite doorway so no one can get through and stab me in the back.

After that, knock on of the mages unconsious while disabling the remaining one and start making him talk. First question: Why did you suddenly attack me?

Turn 7

The Space Phantom: (1) To impress these civilians, you grasp for your lance, which probably landed on the ground when you crashed. It only takes a few seconds for you to find it. Huh, that’s odd, it seems a bit thicker from what you remember, but nevertheless it seems to be your lance. You pull on it to raise it up high, but it seems to be stuck on something. You pull harder and harder, using all your strength. You hear a loud cracking sound from below you as you finally lift your lance up high. All the people around you instantly back away from you, and several of them try urging the cart to move faster. Several of them scream at you, "What in the name of Prasi is wrong with you?" "Get the fuck away from us!" "You’re one of those barbaric Eastern scum!" After about a second, you realize you just ripped the arm off the sap lying on the ground underneath you. You also find a lance a bit towards your left and grab for it. As the cart moves on, you feel an arrow pierce through your right foot.

Foxmccloud 4387: (5) Pulling yourself out of the hole isn’t a particularly difficult task, as considering you’re a giant, you have a decent strength score. After doing so, you use some of your clothing/supplies to bandage your wounds. After traveling some more, you find yourself atop a hill overlooking a vast plains with a river cutting through the middle. You see a sizable stone fortress sitting just behind a bend in the river. A large set of stone walls, punctuated by towers every so often, extends alongside the river with no end in site. Although it’s a bit hard to see, there are several red banners, featuring a two-headed black dragon, flying atop the site. From what you can see, only one bridge of brick connects the fort to the outer landscape, and the entrance there has two large block tower-like structures at the entrance.
B Ra Hi An 1: (5) Seeing as the unicorn has absolutely no idea of your presence, you start sneaking around, in order to gut him like a cornish game hen get in a better position to kill him. While your comrade also approaches the beast, you get onto the hydra’s unicorn’s back. It still seems to have absolutely no idea of your presence, and you’re starting to doubt that this is the same unicorn that kicked you in the shins earlier. Still, you’re in the perfect position to kill your target, or at the very least remove its horn.
Omega Shadowcry: (3) The mushroom-person responds, "Well that’s a shame. As I said before, this is Giotto. I can’t really give you much of a deep explanation about this place. Traditionally, we’ve been the fifth principality of Nivani, and this place has been ruled by kings and queens since time beginning. Course, we had our own mayor to run things here. Then the Empire came in, marched through these very forests, and took the crown in the East. Let us run things the way we always ran things. Hell, they offered us education along with papers to become full citizens of the empire, and they established a post on the west side of town. Business was better than ever; you’d see lizardmen come from the capital itself to buy our spices and herbs. Then Marduk takes over, and let’s just say you don’t see many kobolds in these parts any more."
Rivux: (4) You pocket your belongings and set off to the city of Harkad, taking the road nearby. You head your way for the central district, passing by many houses along the way. However, off to a side street, you see the dwarf from earlier mumbling about by himself. You approach him and he speaks to you, “What do ya want? Make it quick cause I’m not in a talking mood.”
Lord Herobrine: (6) You take the energy from the aura and channel it into the now burning amulet. The wood morphs into an amulet made out of obsidian with a red engraving. You have successfully created an amulet of fire enhancement, which increases the amount of damage done by fire based attacks. It also comes with a fire aura with a radius of 10 feet. It is not friendly to you. The amulet also amplifies damage done by the fire that is consuming you. The flames consuming you are now blue. You are probably going to die sometime soon if you don’t do something about the fire.
Makuta 9999: I might not be the most experienced GM, but I felt as though your request was a bit too complex to justify a single roll, especially since this is a combat sequence. I’m willing to write complex sequences for simple requests, but since your actions were combat oriented, multi-function and multi-target, I multi-rolled. (5-mage 1 interrupt + knockout, 4-cutting off reinforcements, 6-mage 2 disable) You fire a blast of lightning towards the two mages, however, the one charging his spell leaps in front of the other one while hastily throwing his spell at you and takes the brunt of the attack. You leap out of the way as the enemy mage’s spell hits the wall behind you. You take another moment to fire a bolt at the ceiling to the entryway opposite you. A good portion of it collapses. You move in to knock out the attacking mage with your quarterstaff. He falls down unconscious, and then you turn to the remaining mage, preparing a spell for disabling him. He says, "Why have you returned to this place? Are you not satisfied with what you have accomplished in life? We’ve slain you once, why won’t you stay in your grave? Do you think you are a god? You’re no god, you’re an abomination!" He holds his hands out, "In the name of Hastar…" As you hear this, you launch a bolt of lightning, hoping to disable him. "I offer myself as sacrifice!!!" This mage is now surrounded with a white aura, and instead of disabling him, your attack seems to have energized him. However, after a second, the mage explodes into a pile of flesh and blood. Then, you see the warrior arise from beneath the stone that was crushing him. He appears to emit a white glow and seems shows no signs of the injuries from before. He faces you, with his shield and mace in hand. Templar Reborn has appeared. (If it isn’t self evident, bosses have dice rolling mechanics.)
NE Sgamer 190: (2) In your current area, there is one kobold spearman, the squad leader/kobold swordsman, the one unconscious kobold who was taking a whizz, and one remaining kobold archer. You just lobbed the head off the other one. Seeing as the two melee kobolds are blocking your direct path to the remaining archer. Therefore, you try running around them to reach your target. However, the two of them run to intercept you. It doesn’t seem like you’ll be able to get around them, so you prepare your hammer for another swing. As you go in for the swing, the squad leader lifts his shield and blocks your strike, reinforcing his hold with his sword arm. You expected that the blow would have knocked the creature back, but the swordsman is resisting with a surprising amount of strength. He says, "My comrade’s deaths will not be in vain. Now!" With this command, the other nearby kobold dashes in and plunges with his weapon. The spear strikes a weak point in your armor, and plunges into your side. The spearman rips the weapon back out. The archer moves further back. From the fortress behind you, you hear a large number of people shout in unison, "For the Glory of Harkad!!!"
Trip: (3) The writing reads "Stormwald." Other than this word, or place name, you don’t know any other words in dwarven. You probably wasted a few minutes translating this thing.

Action: Aim to incapacitate (or murder) that spearhead kobold, and get to a more tactically sound position for a hammerdwarf.

[up] Oh yes you can die in Roll To Dodge. Doesn't mean you're out of the game though. Just that you're dead. Heck, I've died at least twice before.

At GM: I did multiple actions because I was going for a multi-roll. You did fine.

"Great, just great, I get ousted from my homeworld, watch it get destroyed, flung across who-knows-what to who-knows-where, and forced into the body of some dead guy who turns out to have been the Evil Overlord. And now I have to deal with the people he made enemies with."

Welp, since he doesn't look like he's in the mood to talk, lets cool his head a little. I cover the floor underneath him with ice.

Turn 8

The Space Phantom: (6) Using your mad strength modifier, you hurl the arm at the elf shooting at you. After a while, you see the elf fall to the ground followed by the wilhelm scream. The unicorn waltzes closer to you, and then speaks, "Power draws power unto itself! And so miracles beget even greater miracles! Let the coins of chance spin their merry way and so shall all-ruling chaos reign today!" With these last words, the immediate area around you becomes engulfed in blue flames and you feel as they start searing your flesh to bits. Strangely, your weapon and other belongings seem unaffected. Right in front of you, you see a small obsidian amulet with some sort of red marking.    "KIHIHIHIHIHIHI!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Rivux: (3) You hand over the sack to the dwarf, including the red potion and the scroll. However, you did keep some his coins, seeing as he might not notice their absence. The dwarf says, "Give me that! Good thing ya found this, saves me the trouble of finding it myself. Fuck up this job and I don’t get paid." He rummages through the sack, and then pulls out the scroll, "Huh, looks like someone’s opened this seal."
Foxmccloud 4387: (5) You back down from the top of the hill and gather some foliage to help conceal yourself. After this, you sneak your way over towards the fortress. However, as you near closer, you see that there are a large number of kobold guards both at the gate and patrolling along the top of the structure. Except possibly hiding under the bridge, you don’t see any way to approach the fortress without being seen at the moment. That’s not even accounting for the possibility of mages at work. Therefore, you sneak someplace farther from the fortress, and make your way across the river. You now stand alongside the border walls, midway between a pair of towers. You reason that entering the fortress or reaching the other side will probably be easier through this route. You hear people talking from the top of the wall. "You know what else?"

Another voice says, "What?"

"A centaur thief."

"That’s got to be the most ridiculous thing I ever heard of!"

"Isn’t it?"

"How the fuck does that even work? You can’t even shift as one of those."

"But nobody expects a horse to be a thief, and thus a horse choosing to be a thief can be nothing other than a genius!"

"What in the world…"

Another voice joins in, "Sir, I think I saw a patch of grass moving on the plains cross the river a few minutes ago."

The first voice says, "Oh, you should probably report that to whoever’s manning your tower. Chances are someone’s trying to cross the border or break into the fortress. Probably the latter else they wouldn’t need to sneak around. As much as these nationalists and king-worshipers are running around, we’re pretty open to having new people join the empire, provided they follow all imperial regulations and customs. Hell, I don’t see there aren’t more people walking through that gate."

The second voice says, "Maybe they just don’t like being searched."

NE Sgamer 190: (4) Shortly after finishing his strike, the spearman jumps in again to land another blow. This time, you’re ready for it, and you swing your hammer down as he goes in. You hear a crunch, and the kobold’s spear arm snaps right off. After wincing for a bit, the kobold shifts away from you, then makes a run for the fortress. The squad leader shifts around to prevent you from chasing his comrade. The archer looks off somewhere behind you, and then starts retreating with the spearman. Then, you hear a warhorn resounding throughout the forest, along with hundreds of trampling feet. You hear someone shouting far behind you, "Skirmishers, scout in the surrounding area for any other rebels and secure the perimeter! Everyone else, standard formation! Get moving!"
Philosopher: (6) With your bonded weapon (assuming it’s a sword) in front of you, you turn to face whatever’s coming from behind you. A tiger leaps from the bushes towards you. It tackles you, and then bites into your left shoulder. Acting on instinct, you slice its head off. Although you’ve managed to kill the beast, its claws have dug into your sides, along with the head still attached to your shoulder.
Trip: (1) While beginning to run, you delve into your spellbook to look for a ritual that will help you gain information about Stormwald, but it doesn’t take long before you trip and fall. You find something that you thing will work and begin casting your spell. You open what appears to be a portal in front of you. However, it would not be accurate to call this blue disk before you a portal, rather it is more akin to a crystal ball for looking into the past. You begin an incantation so that this mirror-like disk will show you the secrets which govern this site. The images shown start swirling about and, wait a second, something isn’t right. Instead of the normal blue of arcana, your conjured disk, now growing larger, is glowing some bizarre octarine hue. It swells to about twelve feet in diameter, and you hear whispers coming from within, though you can see nothing but the uniform glow of this sickly color. A unicorn leaps out of it and lands on you. As it trots forward, it walks on your face.
B Ra Hi An 1: (6) The Great Witch Cathari is pleased with your praise. Your companion says, "I don’t know about this. We got this unicorn way too easy." Nevertheless, you pull out your dagger and begin hacking away at the damn beast. It takes some time, but you eventually manage to cut off the unicorn’s head. Consumed by your hatred for the beast, you start hacking the thing’s flesh off bit by bit while you fling its guts everywhere. "I don’t think we need to be that thorough." After a while, you see the unicorn’s head float up to your level with a trollface smug, dangerous grin, just beyond your reach. It laughs at you. With every passing second, every bit you cut from the unicorn starts spinning around you as if part of some sadistic dance. No, the laughter isn’t just coming from out of the mouth of that thing. It’s coming from everywhere within this forest. Just beyond the floating piles of guts and tissue, you see your companion laughing along with the unicorn.
Lord Herobrine: (4) Your in-world character would die. However, your character can just simply respawn, or you could choose a new character class/race combination, still retaining memories of the previous character. P Cs in this RTD are basically immortal souls that have lost all their power due to GM Hax. However, when respawning, you’ll very likely be teleported to some location completely unrelated to your current quest, and there’s a chance you’ll lose some of your shit. With whatever energy you can muster, you banish the amulet to some far away place where it will hopefully harm nobody. In the same spell, you have also dispelled most of the fire covering your body, but your skin is still burnt to a crisp. Unfortunately, the aura of flame is now an innate trait of your zombie spearman, but you’re well outside of its radius at the moment. You’ll just have to remember not to step into it again.
Makuta 9999 (5); Templar Reborn (1): Random Boss Music Time! You cast frost onto the floor beneath the Templar, causing a large floor to become ice. The knight charges you with his shield faced up front and his mace prepared. However, the ice underneath him causes him to lose control of his movement. As he comes close to you, he swings his glowing mace up high to strike, but you move out of the way just in time. With his uncontrolled momentum, the Templar accidentally swings his mace deep into the wall, and he becomes stuck as he tries to pull his weapon out. He holds his shield out towards you, but a large chunk of the ceiling falls on top of him. From behind the collapsed rubble in the opposite entryway, you hear voices, "Dammit, this way is blocked off." "Lets try going in from the other side. Follow me." "Don’t worry, lets just blast our way through." After this, you hear two explosions come from that entryway, and the part of the rubble shoots out.

Turn 9

Foxmccloud 4387: (4-climb the wall, 3-incapacitate a guard) You’re currently not in a position to incapacitate anyone. The guards are currently stationed on a wall many, many feet above you. Still, with your giant strength, you manage to climb the wall. You reach the top and pull yourself over the crenelations. In total, you see about seven kobold archers scattered along the wall, with three of them clumped nearby. Several of them, including the trio grouped together, are looking at you. Instinctively, you leap and tackle one of them as the others fall back. You reach for your sword to end him, but you feel an arrow puncture through your arm. Near the towers, you see the kobolds have their weapons aimed right at you, and you see more soldiers pouring out from the towers themselves. One of the kobolds says, "Drop your weapons! Put your hands in the air where I can see them!" (Surrendering is a free action.)

Makuta 9999 (1); Templar Reborn (Null): You charge your spell to target the ceiling above the templar. However, as you shift your balance, you slip on the ice you have created and shoot the ceiling above you instead. A large chunk of the ceiling falls on your right foot. It doesn’t hurt as much as you would expect, and hundreds of spiders start crawling on the rubble and the ground. You also get the feeling the boulder may have fractured your leg, though you feel as though you can glide your foot from underneath the rubble. In fact, you can see the break up close, and you can see yourself lying on the ground. You hear two more blasts from the opposite entryway. The Templar manages to pull the mace from the wall and faces you once again.
The Space Phantom: (5) Not knowing the full implications of your actions, you dive in and grasp the amulet in your hands as the flames continue to consume you. You place the amulet around your neck, the heat growing ever stronger. The amulet glows red, and for a brief moment you feel disconnected from your surroundings. You feel as though your soul and the amulet are becoming one. The flames no longer touch you, and while they still burn on the ground below, you feel as though you can stop them from doing so. With this amulet, you now have a fiery aura with a radius of 10 feet. It also enhances the flames and techniques thereof that you create. The unicorn speaks, "Well, isn’t this interesting? Miracles do indeed beget miracles! But now then, why don’t we have a little bit of fun?    KYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Lord Herobrine: (5) You can’t control Trip, Trip is a PC. Nevertheless, you follow the girl, and when you reach her position, she vanishes from her current spot and appears somewhere else in the distance. This continues on for some time while your zombie follows, maintaining its distance, during this. At one of the stops, the child remains in her position instead of disappearing. The mist is much thicker in this area, and up ahead you see a large cave and a barren field a long way before it. Somewhere on the grey, lifeless ground nearby, you see two piles of skeletons. One of them is encased in plate armor, though large chunks of the breastplate and greaves have bent inward. You also see a large round shield attached to its left arm piece and a large sword dangling in its right hand, its fifth finger missing. The skull and helmet are missing from this set. The other skeleton has nothing save a bit of leather covering him. Many of its bones have fractured, and most of its ribs have broken off. The skull is missing on this one as well. The girl speaks, "I sense my sister is nearby, but I cannot go any further."
Trip: (1) Although you would like to groan, you’re too busy pissing yourself. This isn’t necessarily an indication that you’re scared of the beast, rather it’s an involuntary reaction to the fact you haven’t urinated in practically an eternity. You try preparing a fireball to hurl at the unicorn, but the spell simply explodes in your face. You not only hurl to the ground, but you start tumbling down the slope you came up. The unicorn comes up to you and says, "What’s the matter? Aren’t you supposed to be some great, powerful wizard. Stop fooling yourself, you’re nothing but a third-rate magician! You can’t even perform a simple spell without it blowing up in your face. Why won’t you just die already?    KYAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
NE Sgamer: (1) Seeing as there’s probably a large force assembling to hunt you down, you intend to get some cover behind some of the trees farther out. However, as you prepare for your withdrawal, you let your guard down from the swordsman, who was covering his comrades’ retreat. You feel a huge surge of pain as the kobold squad leader cleanly slices your right leg off right above the knee. Without both of your legs to drive you forward, you topple over to the ground. Towards the fortress, you see a large row of kobold spearmen, along with a few mages standing behind them. The top of the fortress is teeming with archers, all preparing their bows. The squad leader walks over to where you can see him, but just out of reach of your warhammer. He says, "None of your pals have come to save you. No, you came alone didn’t you? Now, seeing you like this, I think it’s a bit pitiful. You cling onto the names of the dwarven kingdoms, but it is folly. The age of the dwarven kings has long since past. Sad isn’t it? I’m not sure if I myself can forgive you, but should you surrender yourself, perhaps you will have a chance to redeem yourself for your crimes." In the distance, the kobold battalion begins moving forward. (Surrendering is a free action.)
Philosopher: (4) The Great Witch Cathari isn’t sure how to describe the manner in which you wear/carry the tiger’s corpse, but you manage to do so. Seeing as you’ll need a necromancer to resurrect the tiger into a proper mount, you head off towards the nearby village. Many of the houses here seem to be constructed from wood. Additionally, you can see garden-like patches of land next to some of these structures. All of the inhabitants you see are orcs. Many of them look at you as you pass by, partly because you are human, but mostly because your lugging a tiger corpse with you. It’s also starting to smell a little bit. You approach several of the orcs and ask them where you can find a necromancer. Many of them don’t seem to know where you can find one nearby. However, some of them mention that there’s a shaman in another village over.
B Ra Hi An 1: (Free) Seeing as this is an emotional state as opposed to an action, you start metaphorically shitting your pants. This does nothing to offset the continuous laughter coming from everywhere. In fact, the unicorn and your former companion start laughing harder. At one point, the unicorn licks it lips then continues its unending torture. A symbol of some strange color starts forming on your right hand and you start to feel pain from your forehead. The bloody bits of the unicorn begin dissolving into the ground while the head remains afloat to taunt your miserable existence. Your former companion pulls out a large, double-headed axe and starts stumbling towards you. She says, "Aw, you look so cute! I just want to take you home and eat you right up!"
