Ok, watching the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin OVA with my dad. I'm glad he's able to follow it and understand the context of the beginnings of the OYW.
The animation's nice. It's interesting to see some of the changes. Especially seeing Donovan actually get a small introduction here while he just sorts of shows up at A Baoa Qu in the manga. Like with the manga it's great that the villains are the major focus of these arcs. They were tons more interesting in the original anime than the White Base crew was.
It's especially neat that Ramba Ral and his crew get such a big role. Definitely one of the best changes that Origin made.
That said oh my god, the canonized weeb Gihren. He's lounging around in some dragon patterned silk robe, playing a video game version of Go with loud ass sound effects. Wow. A Gamer did Operation British.

Look man, if we're going to be keeping the thing contained we need to make the circle out of something so horrible not even the entities from Outside will want to touch it. The only other things I would trust to work are NES Cartridges of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde, or the original test footage of Doozy Bots.
I for one do not want to risk something getting loose and "inspiring" Michael Bay and Uwe Boll to collaborate on a live action Gargoyles movie.

And just so it's clear, here's the Alex, which was released two years earlier. They half-assed the 0083 line so bad.
Alex was from 0080 tho?
Also we should probably also sacrifice the HGUC Tristan, I heard that kit was dogshite
It is, my point is that past lines were better than 0083. They could do better, just cut corners.
The Tristan was bad because it was based on a kit from 2004, so really old by modern conventions, but worse because it actually lost features.

Huh I think I realized why I’m lenient on Jesus Yamato.
My introduction to the Seed-verse was the second Dynasty Gundam games where the Strike Freedom was my favorite mobile suit in that game.
So I’m not so harsh on him because I have fond memeories of how fun it was to play as the Strike Freedom in that game.

Just finished the first season of IBO and started the second season.
It's pretty good. I feel the child soldiers go back to being 'children' too quickly. Otherwise not much too complain about.
