A Game of Gods: A Multiversal Challenge

"And of Reach? What about the other challenges made from the deprived minds of those Nomads?" Narumi said.

The Doctor sighs. "That's only some of them! Then we have Blink! Or Yazata! Good people tortured by the monsters among the Nomads."

"Narumi...none of that is going to matter if we can't make our way out of here. I've made a career out of working alongside irredeemable bastards for the greater good. We can wring our hands over the moral ramifications when we're safe."

A Digammain soldier flew to Narumi, cut with Phi's sword. "If it makes you feel better, my life was screwed over by Nomads as well." Phi said to Narumi. Narumi raised his eyebrow. "Try again. Blink beat you to the punch." Narumi said.

"So what Narumi? Same with Yazata here. We've let both in. What makes Phi different?"

Not too far down the hall from the challengers was a door. A simple metal door with a metal handle. Nothing really fancy. The only thing odd about it was a purple glow coming through the space under the door.

"Very well. But I'm going with Kisame here. One mistake, and you're screwed." Narumi said.

Rey nodded slightly, moving to a side slightly. "All right..."

The Doctor sighs. "Another door..."

" ... A Nomad wishes to fight us..." Phi said. Narumi grips on the magnum. "Let's make them pay..." Narumi said.

Meanwhile, a dark cloud was begining to materialize. Of course, since the hall was also black, noticing it would be exceedingly difficult.

Rey blew out a breath, starting for the door. "Maybe I should go in first and talk. That could be easier on all of us..."

When Rey opened the door he would find that beyond it was mostly very dark. It was hard to see how large the room was or even see the walls. The only sources of light were glowing purple lines that ran along what can be assumed to be the walls, floor, and ceiling. The other source of light was a very large television screen. The screen was showing several different things at the same time. Some familiar to Rey, some not. Sitting in front of the screen was what looked like a teenaged boy wearing a T-shirt and baggy pants. He had messy hair and was kind of short. The only thing odd were the purple lines all along his skin, like circuitry.

He turned his head when he heard the door open, allowing Rey to see his large round glasses with constantly gleaming lenses. "Yo!" Zeta said cheerfully, voice sounding like it was coming out of an old speaker.

"We're not immediately under attack. That's a good thing," Lux commented.

Rey started forward, plastering a faint smile on his face. "Hi there...what's...your name? You're another...Nomad, right?"

Link, coughing slightly, got up from where Phi had dropped him.

"You would have to do better than that to kill me...."

"I trust you. For now. But make one false move.... and you will get it. Understand?"

With that said, he turned to Zeta, looking at him with some interest. He said nothing for the moment, merely scrutinizing the Nomad.

"Be careful, Rey."

"Yeah, I'm Zeta. I'm the one that designed and created the common room you all used. Gotta say I'm proud of you the most Rey for finding the most potential out of it." Zeta said, turning around, but remaining seated.

"People have always commented on my creativitiy." Rey glanced back at the others, nodding, then looking back to him. "Are you here against your will like some of the others?"

"Common... Room?"

"You're... a designer. Not a fighter. You're not... opposed to us?"

He took a tentative step forward.

"What about the monsters in the room? Was that you?"

"Not here against my will. Well....somewhat bullied into doing this, but meh. I don't really care that much. Omega is probably gonna get his anyways. Besides, things are getting fun." Zeta said with a smile.

"Monsters?"

"Very well, then."

Another Nomad unopposed to us... It seems that they aren't all as bad as I thought...

"Then...you wouldn't mind if we went, would you?"

Zeta shrugged. "I guess. A fight would be pretty cool. I guess I'll just keep watching then." He said, sounding a bit disappointed.

"The giant crocodile? The room nearly killing us for looking at some clips about Japan from some animated thing..."

Fear enters the Doctor's tone. "You have no control do you?"
